Re: PR: 2nd Application Rejected

OP, I know how you feel. I've been here nearly 10 years, run my own business, employ a total of 9 staff of which 7 are locals, 1 foreigner and 1 on DP and yet I just got rejected on my 2nd attempt. Also a Brit, male and mid 40's. My business is now Private Limited with one of my long term employees ...

Re: Entrepass-Salary increase

it'll help but like everything here there's no guarantee. As the application is looked at by Spring and not MoM they also look at your business viability, it's profit and loss and so on so as long as the company looks like and is able to cover your salary comfortably without it looking like you're b...

Re: Entrepass-Salary increase

I'll reiterate my comment about being a sole prop or having a pte ltd. You never answered that so before we can really help we need to know what you're running as MoM makes a clear distinction and that'll affect you'll renewal. You'll also, more than likely, be on the new system which has very speci...

Re: Entrepass-Salary increase

Depends if you're running a Pte Ltd or a sole prop. If a sole prop it makes no difference whatsoever as they consider all the net profit as income. If a pte ltd then only if the accounts stack up. They can ask for the accounts or if not they certainly will check against what you provided in the prev...

Re: PR Rejected

No children would go against you but thought the business aspect would easily counter that.

I guess as martincymru says, maybe too old.

Not running anymore

Is FNDC dead? No one taking over the mantel of this infamous weekly gathering?

I think you'll find the answers are in the post itself. OCBC. Go to Balestier branch but you don't have to. My experience was at that branch and the Manager was efficient. That's not to say she's still there though. I think it's gone up but not by much, $250 maybe. I don't recall. My BG is for $3k s...

It's nothing new. They tweaked the Entrepass requirements a few years ago and this is just extending those changes. Some of us were lucky to have been allowed to stay under the old system. Now it seems they want to bring everyone in-line and under 1 rule. I understand that but some of the changes ar...

I got my bankers Guarantee from OCBC. Don't go to Citibank. No idea what they're talking about. You might have to do it as a corporate rather than a personal. I went into the branch on Balestier road. Spoke to the manager and had it done within 2 working days. Actually I think it was done the next d...

Basically you 'might' be able to work for the company but to be honest the rules whilst written down are pretty much a guide albeit the employing locals being stuck to quite rigidly unless you turnover a huge amount of money and pay loads of taxes. Ultimately the decisions for Entrepass are not made...
