Re: PR Rejected. Not specify when to reapply.

What should I do? Should I put back cpf and reapply? Please let me know something I can do. Only reapply if you are sure you won't ditch the nation again. As a foreigner you cannot now voluntarily redeposit your CPF. You need to apply first and if you are going to get it they will ask to deposit it...

Re: BEST COUNTRY TO GIVE BIRTH? HK/SG

Since you are looking at pros and cons of country of giving birth why not consider being born in USA? That way they will be born American and not American by descent which can allow your child to stand for office of the President of the United States.... Seriously just plan your future out and think...

Re: Entry rejected at Changi airport while holding a approved entry visa

Another thing that struck a flag for me is - Why did you get your singaporean friend to apply for a visa for your spouse? Frankly she might have been better off applying on her own merits with a copy of your EP as a local contact. I have got my spouse's sister to come to Singapore in that way. Just ...

Re: 3 Biggest Difficulties of Singapore PR Application

Singapore has one of the most simple PR "application" process. It could not get more complicated than filling out the simple form and giving what is asked for in the checklist. The chance of approval and criteria is the biggest black box :/ Pretty sure there are very minimal guidelines pro...

Re: Best service to transfer SGD to GBP

Some money changers can provide currency conversion plus remittance services. Money changers generally get better rates than banks. You might want to try them. If you are remitting the funds to your London Citi account, make sure you retain your withdrawal slips and instructions to money changers. ...

If the student pass is issued they can stay in Singapore even if you don't have the card.
With just the IPA you cannot.

Re: Best service to transfer SGD to GBP

So I got in touch with Citi Personal Banker who was happy to help me out. They actually gave me a very competitive rate (almost close to spot rate) and diversified it into USD and GBP for transfer to various destinations. Also making use of Citibank for the transfer helped reassure me that I was not...

Re: Best service to transfer SGD to GBP

That is a lot of money to move in one shot. Sold your condo izzit? :) If you are coming to Singapore, you should go to the bank and speak to a relationship manager and get a quote. DBS does this and you will get a better rate, if the amount is huge. Some people on this forum have suggested online F...

Hello all, I am planning to make a trip back to Singapore and close out all my bank accounts. Looking to transfer around SGD 400,000 to the UK in GBP. Yup. IHT is also another big hitter right Potentially. Though there are lot of assets are 'more mobile' than physical property. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the UK investment property market come next year. Example: those agency salemen down at Bugis and other malls touting their 'ta...

If you are Caucasian and look Caucasian no one will consider you Singaporean, even if you have a red passport and pink NRIC. Especially if you are doing this to foster business relationships for your firm on their behalf it might be counter productive when they try sell you as a Singaporean to other...
