Re: PR Approved 2021

Hi! Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I wanted to get your thoughts on my situation. I understand that there are some common patterns around PR approvals but there's no black and white so well aware that I could face rejection. Dillema: I'm considering a new role which will mean a new EP ap...

Re: Kitchen Appliances - what is the standard

The new member responded to the very first post on the board which was over ten years ago. Seems a little suspicious to me. As I’ve been here for longer I am learning to be more circumspect.

Re: Does Singapore allow dual permanent residency? (SG and US)

From what I can see, the answer is yes, they do permit it. They basically only care about how much time you spend in Singapore and if you are still contributing. Stop contributing and they will reduce the duration of your re entry permit at renewal or not renew it at all. I know people who this hap...

Re: SCDF ambulances are under strain

Specifically if you have a heart issue get a taxi or someone to drive you to SGH or NUH. No where else. Don't wait for SCDF. And don't use a private ambulance. My GP says if you have a heart attack get to the NHCS at SGH if at all possible. If not there, then NUH. That is wrong advice .Please do no...

Re: SCDF ambulances are under strain

SCDF do not transport already dead people, the police coroner and casket services do that. Every patient in an ambulance is assumed to be alive at the start of the journey but DOA does happen ("flatline") That’s my point, the point of the ambulance is to get live people to the hospital ASAP so they...

Re: SCDF ambulances are under strain

They don't on urgent cases (P1) according to my son. Must be a lower priority. Then why do they keep their emergency lights flashing if it’s not an urgent case? I thought the whole point of switching on the lights and siren is to signal to others that the vehicle needs to be given priority? By swit...

I'm seeking website that consolidates all VTL airlines flying into Sg. not just Sing Air.
Depends where you’re flying in from. SQ is the only airline that services more than one country of origin.

Re: Will having a child guarantee LTVP?

I have also felt the brunt of it. When I first arrived on these shores, I did not tick many boxes that would deem me as desirable. It was only the combination of my own sheer stubbornness and an employer who was willing to go to bat for me that got my EP approved after multiple rejections. I endure...

Re: Will having a child guarantee LTVP?

That's a valid point but would the G be so heartless to separate the nucleus family? Do a search on my nephew's case here. I took the baby in because the worthless spineless nephew was still in NS at the time - she was just one year old - she was taken to the 'peens but after a year, because she on...

Re: Passport renewal

To be on par with the US, you really need to be a Singapore citizen, just to bring costs in-line. This line says it best. If you’re not a citizen, many things become more expensive. Especially if you have kids, the cost of schooling is vastly different- locals pay close to nothing, while non-ASEAN ...
