Re: should we check our partner phone ?

Checking their phone is a huge no for me. It’s a huge breach of trust, if you have doubts or suspicions, just be straightforward and ask. Save yourself any unnecessary misunderstanding.

Re: Any foreign food remind you of home?

Speaking of ribs, it’s too bad Tony Roma’s closed down here, they truly had the best ribs in town back in the 90’s and 00’s... but after that, started going downhill... no surprise that they closed. Sad to see Chili’s leave (for the second time), but Santa Fe Tex Mex has always has better fajitas a...

Try don don donki. If I’m not mistaken they even sell meal kits with everything you need to make the dish in addition to detailed instructions.

Easy and delicious feta pasta recipe

My 17 year old daughter spends quite a bit of time on TikTok (a new social media app). Recently, a Finnish recipe for baked feta pasta went massively viral. My daughter and I decided to give it a try, and it was so easy and incredibly delicious. I’ve attached the recipe so you can give it a try. We’...

Re: BEST Pizza in Singapore!!

Did you ever meet Frank the owner? He actually runs a restaurant in Sarasota FL now (or did, he may have sold it). I agree, they were very good. Frank made them as "Boston Pies" rather than the cardboard imitations sold here. Here is Frank opening a place in 2010: http://grandopenings.blogs.heraldt...

Re: International School Singapore

A friend is looking for a 'holistic' school for her child, less homework and more 1-to-1 interaction with teachers. Which International school has such traits? SAS tends to produce stellar academic results compared to other international schools, the environment is also supposed to be a lot less ma...

Re: Grade 5 Boy Falls to Death after Failing Exams for the First Time

Really terrifying. My daughter is in JC, and her school has 2-3 suicides a year on average due to school stress. The school doesn’t do very much about it, they offer counseling but what can that really do? Too little, too late.

Re: PR application: qn about translating documents in Chinese

Agree with sundaymorningstaple. It’s best that you just go ahead and get the documents translated. As far as price goes, I’m not sure if it’s a fair sum you were quoted. Maybe look a little deeper and see what you find. You don’t want to come across as half-hearted or insincere in your application, ...

Re: Would you order food with others nearby to save on delivery costs?

Max, I know what you mean but I think the earlier statements are misleading. This is not that $4-6 is a high cost of delivery, it's not, it's very reasonable, but simply using the services on regular bases is expensive. I have no objections to such statement. I order online few times a month and if...

Re: Home office equipement

I am looking into buying a Herman Miller chair for the same reason. I wasted ~$400 on a chair from Ikea that killed my neck in about two hours. I’ve never tried Herman Miller, let me know how it works out if you decide to buy one. But yes, Ikea furniture is terrible. Incredibly low quality and flim...

Re: Where to upload cover letter

Presumably you would just submit it with the rest of your PR application. Alternatively you can email ICA and they should be able to help.

Re: How to highlight familial ties in PR application

I think you can just provide a list of your family members and how they are related to you. A family tree would be a lot of work, a list would probably suffice.

Re: Home office equipement

One of my colleagues used Ergoworks furniture. They specialize in making ergonomic furniture, and have a pretty huge variety of office furniture. Prices are pretty reasonable, I think they start at a little over $100 and work their way up to close to a thousand.

Re: LinkedIn - a warning

Did you end up confronting the guy? That was a pretty nasty move on his part. I'm prohibited from retaliating . It's a classic catch - 22. Accused but not permitted to confront my accuser. Wow, I’d be furious. What a spiteful jerk, I can’t imagine what he thought he would get out of doing something...
