Hi! I think Beppis has misread the OP.... He's asking if he needs another medical test. Well, the medical test has a certain validity period (18 months if I don't remember wrong), so everything depends on the date of the previous one. If your last pass was issued, let's say, 10 months ago, and you g...

Because of my work, I know the insider of nearly 100 schools in Singapore. And I would say that ISS is one of the few (including lot of other private too) where I would like to see one of my kids. Said this, not idea about prices or other idea. Just the learning environment, the kids behavior, the s...

The right procedure if you want to change with minimum risk is: 1.- Apply for a new S-pass under the new company 2.- ONLY if you get the approval, get the In Principle approval letter and send your resignation to company 1 3.- Then "convert" the IPA for company 2 in a new S-Pass Of course you should...

If the other options are possible, ISS and OFS are much closer to Suntec. However, that would be probably the most expensive area in the city. Even Singapore is well connected, I guess you still need a School Bus to the German School, so you must check the routes (I go to German School weekly, and t...

Re: PR application - supporting documents
I am just preparing my PR application and I got some questions about the supporting documents that have to be produced: - Birth certificate - is this really required? Isnt the identity card and passport not sufficient as it shows my birth date as well as nationality? I am asking this because it wou...

In case anyone else need the answer, S-Pass holders can't have shares even in his company. MoM confirmed by email, and also I found some guys that bought shares of the company they were working in, and also got the warning letter and had to sell them back. A bit strange, again, but rules are rules....

I don't remember the full text and I don't think I can't find a copy now, but roughly it was said that our worker became shareholder of a company (her friend had a small company, and she got maybe 1-2%, more simbolic than real), and we got a warning letter saying that this was against the S-Pass reg...

Thanks. I know the difference shareholders-directors. Just not so sure about the meaning of "engage and participate" related with that. I know that sounds a bit strange that I can't be shareholder in my company when working on it, but if I quit my job and go back home I can! The case that I mentione...

Well, you have been in dealing with entities like MoM longer than me, so can we please stop using logic and sticking to the word? We had a case in the past when we got a warning letter because a worker became shareholder in another company. But if this were the only illegal thing, the previous...

I "might" have answered my own question. In the Private Company Regulations I couldn't find anything, but in the S-Pass regulations, Part IV, Point 2: http://www.mom.gov.sg/Documents/services-forms/passes/WPSPassConditions.pdf The foreign employee shall not engage in or participate in any business o...

S Pass - shareholders?
Hi all. I can't find info in Internet about the option of a S-Pass holder becoming shareholder of the company where he's working now . I see very clearly that they can't become shareholder of any other company, but this one I couldn't find. My boss is selling the business. He has already local peopl...
