I can turn on the disk and it's spinning and I can detect it as a drive on the computer. I believe it was damaged when my partner attempted to update the disk firmware.

Recovery of files on corrupted external harddrive

I have a corrupted external harddrive and need to recover my files. I have tried different software but been unable to recover everything. I have received quotes from Kroll and AccPlus Technologies, but they are in excess of SGD 1200. Does anyone know of a cheaper way to recover my files? Thanks.

I doubt the admissions office used or defined the word "fair" in the way you did in your OP. And there was never any mention that everyone would be admitted at the same time You are perfectly entitled to having your doubt, of course, but I have given an accurate summary of what I was told by the ad...

I think you misunderstand the admission policy
Well, I can only go by what the admissions officer has told me. It seems they tell prospective students/parents of students one thing and then in reality do something completely different. Disappointing.

Thankfully have a backup application pending, but just disappointed with the UWC application process so far as we specifically chose it for it's "not-for-profit" reputation and supposedly fair new admissions system

UWCSEA's admission policy

I don't quite understand UWCSEA's new admission system: It's supposedly meant to be more fair in that everyone applies at the same time and should then - supposedly - also all be offered places around the same time. I applied for my child to join elementary school in Sep 2014. Received communication...

It's not hard, but if "flashing my router's firmware" scares you (some posters it will)
:D Conjured up interesting images anyway. I'm not that technically advanced unfortunately. Signed up with Hide My Ass. Seems ok so far.

Thank you so much, zzm9980! Is Unotelly essentially the same kind of service as Overplay? I tried Overplay and it wasn't working at all.

Unfortunately, I'm tied into a lousy Starhub cable contract right now so I can't change to MyRepublic just yet. Hmfp!

Watching BBC iPlayer on Apple TV

I am having a really annoying problem with my Apple TV and wondered if anyone else has experienced the same: I use Hide My Ass VPN service and want to watch BBC iPlayer on my Apple TV via AirPlay on my iPad. IPlayer works fine on the iPad, but as soon as I try to connect to Apple TV, I get the follo...

I believe Oosters does Jupiler. The food is decidedly average there, but decent selection of Belgian beer.

Recent opinions on EtonHouse Broadrick primary school

I was wondering if anyone would like to share their recent experiences with EtonHouse Broadrick's primary school? I am familiar with their pre-schools which are, in my opinion, excellent so I was just wondering if this goes for the primary school too? I like the idea of my children attending a small...
