Re: A qualification for Chief representative office for RO

Hi, Trying to get an EP by setting up Representative Office. One of its conditions is that the RO must have the chief representative officer relocated from the headquarter or Singapore staff. Does Singapore staff mean only locals? I am a foreigner holding EP, but not sent from HQ technically as it ...

Re: Opening a bank account in Singapore as a EU citizen

If you open an account with a major foreign bank (Citi, HSBC etc) you will have no issues opening an account.
The question is whether they will open the account prior to you actually moving. This I can't answer.

Re: Job offer

I have gotten a job offer to work in Singapore. Is it a good time to accept a job offer overseas ie: stability, covid19 situation. I think it would depend on what the offer is... think about cost of living, are you coming along, will you be supporting anyone. Have you lived abroad before? If not, S...

Re: Moving to Singapore from San Francisco

This is not just about moving to Singapore, it's about moving back. You might find you can't get a job back in the US after your stint in Singapore.

If you want to work in crypto, I'm not I would move to Singapore from San Fran.

Re: British - Moving to SG (Wife is SC)

Not an entrepreneur, no. To be perfectly honest - the skill set part is the area that I am most afraid of. I am currently an operations manager in the UK. It’s not that I don’t think the skills I have aren’t useful (most businesses require someone to oversee operations to some extent) - it’s just t...

Re: Health Insurance for My Mother aged 57 and on LTVP

They should be able to be covered under a similar version of the integrated shield plan. I don't know the details but most should offer, but must take up offer before the age of 75.

The other one with no entry limit is Cigna - but very expensive

I'm not even sure why MY and SG bother with cross border work approvals. They should have an agreement that alllows working rights in both places for citizens of both.
:D agreed

Re: Living with Type 1 Diabetes in Singapore

Hi, I’m type 1 and have been here since September. I’m on MDI and libre. We were lucky as we managed to stockpile a lot of insulin before we came. Singapore is very futuristic in some ways but not in terms of diabetes! (There’s too few of us). So I can’t get Tresiba here, though I can in Thailand a...

Re: British - Moving to SG (Wife is SC)

Also it depends if you are a employee or an entrepreneur. There are special passes for entrepreneurs. Is it difficult to get a job in Singapore? It depends on what you do and if your skills are in demand. When did your wife move to the UK? Does she receive any income in Singapore? Basically when you...
