Re: [Help Needed] Preloved Children's Clothes. Yay or Nay?
When we were kids, we often wore hand-me-downs or hand-me-downs from cousins a year or two older. But back then, people weren't quite so prideful. In fact, we also did that with our kids and it's been passed down to my children who are now parents of a 1.5, 3 & 6 year old. SMS - we were so poor tha...

Re: EP holder with passive income from blog/ebooks
So I’m an EP holder. I have a blog and was looking to monetise it, and additionally put some ebooks/training courses together to sell. Is this possible? From what I’ve seen k think as long as I wasn’t selling to anyone in Singapore, and paid taxes on any income to Singapore it should be okay. Is it...

Re: LOC for Business Owner
I'm more than halfway tempted to delete my entire post, except that I can't figure this out. It wasn't a year ago that MoM announced that DP's on LOC were going to have to get their own EP's and that DP's with their own business could run until the next renewal cycle. Referencing this forum post: ht...

You are so incredibly wrong with this comment. Unless you're referring to Tucker Carlson and Fox, aka, Feaux News.malcontent wrote: ↑Wed, 18 May 2022 8:42 amThe biased, narrative spinning news media (on both sides) has done more harm to society than guns ever have. Of that there can be no doubt.

Re: Help with Paid Survey
Anyone considering taking this "survey" for money should be aware that it is just as likely that you will be paid to attend a high pressure sales session to convince you to purchase their products or services. It's like the offer of a free weekend at a time share if you put up with an all day sales ...

Re: LOC for Business Owner
Hello, My wife has a DP and she has just incorporated a Pte Ltd (restaurant). She is a 100% shareholder and also a director. Getting a LOC is a real headache. She received permission from MOM through their online form to apply for LOC. To apply for a LOC she needs to do it via the myMOM platform. S...

Re: Absence from Singapore
Also, i think the government probably gives exemption to business-related travels like yours, but may not to remote-work-travel like what I intend. What do you mean by "remote work travel"? Are you aware that there is virtually no country that you can go to for more than 90 days every calendar year...

Re: Shooting at US grocery stores
I'm waiting for some yahoo to yet again state, "An armed society is a polite society." Nothing could be further from the truth, and it's the reason that our ancestors put gun laws into place.
This obsession with guns really needs to be included in the DSM manual of psychiatric diagnoses.

Re: Absence from Singapore
Thanks, why you think so? Because, what they care about are folks like the clowns from the subcontinent who get PR, then immediately return back to India to work and live for 3 of their 5 year "PR". Traveling for a few weeks, or even a few months, while retaining a Singapore residence, is a far dif...

Re: Orchard Tower- Warning!
That's a good idea on using NETS. A better idea to avoid OT after dark. No respectable non-diver should be in there after dark. OT was/is pretty tame compared to quite a few other places in Singapore. I was taken to a few bars on Duxton Hill. Not only could you get a blow job under the table, if yo...

Re: West facing house
If my iPhone compass is to be believed, my windows face due north, but it seems more NW to me. I get some indirect afternoon sun (today was especially brutal). My in-laws have the unit just opposite to us facing S/SE and they get no afternoon sun — they also get a nice breeze in the hotter summer m...
