Re: Planning my move to Singapore

Thanks for the input! Quite a few things to weigh in, but we are a few months away from moving, so we have some time to ponder about this.

Re: Planning my move to Singapore

Thanks. I am not personally sold on the need for very expensive schools for very young kids that claim to provide elite developmental activities, however, I think after a year or so, I see the benefit in sending them to play with other kids. Until 3, I am only looking for a playschool, not necessari...

Re: Planning my move to Singapore

I am also considering a move in the next few months. There is good information here on schools, however, I don't see much info for younger kids. I have a 2 yr old and another one on the way soon. Wondering what the costs and options for childcare are? We would want our older one to go to a daycare w...

Re: Water Treatment Engineering

Thanks! Hoping to get all my research done now and make connections as much as possible and leverage them when I land in Singapore.

Yes, Oil&Gas is a target along with equipment manufacturers as well. Lower down my list, but they are there.

Re: Water Treatment Engineering

Thanks. Yes, I am looking at them and understanding the certification process.

Any insights into the job market and willingness from employers to apply for E pass? It seems to vary by quite a bit based on industry.

Re: Water Treatment Engineering

Yes, I am licensed in California and Texas in the US. I am not yet in Singapore, but I hope to get licensed there as well when I move pretty soon. I do hear that it is a lengthy process, but I will go for it.

Re: Water Treatment Engineering

Ugg, I somehow missed the date of the post in my enthusiasm that someone was posting about water treatment as I didn't see many posts on the topic in this forum. Thanks for pointing this out!

Job in the Civil/Environmental Engineering Sector

Hi all, I have been reading the posts in this forum for the past few days and have a good idea of how hard it is to get a job and an EP, thanks to the detailed answers from a lot of the regulars in this board. I understand that most of the EPs are granted for internal transfers through MNCs and only...
