Re: Spass application rejected and now appealing

Historically, renewals will get renewed in reasonably quick order but possibly with only one year renewal giving the employer a buffer so as to not potentially loose too many borderline staff. We had that a few years ago when the S pass entry level was increased and also when the quota's were cut in...

Re: The Architect Fitness Thread

TheArchitect We have had fitness guys on here before. They all tried the same gambit of answering questions and giving helpful advice. They all tow the mark until some point in the near future until they try to start advertising/soliciting. It's at that point that they get banned. My advice to you ...

Re: LTVP agency - parent of EP holder

What I was told, several years ago, by the ICA officer who actually approved my PR a quarter of a century ago, is that applications from agencies and via lawyers are looked at even harder the the normal application as they reckon the applica...

I worked on a couple FPSOs back in the late 80's in the Gulf of Thailand. But spent the vast majority of time on semi-subs & DSs. Now just an old coot or as some say the resident crusty curmudgeon.

Re: Jobs in Singapore

Hey, ....... could really use some advice as to how to proceed now. Also, what happens if I receive the EP approval from the first company and there is a go ahead for EP processing from the second company? How does MOM responds to two first time EP applications..? If you don't yet have an IPA then ...

Re: EP (Employment Pass) processing time delay

It will probably come through eventually. How long is a piece of string? That's about how long it will take. 3 days to 3 months normally. EP shouldn't be a problem especially in the O&G sector. (Upstream or Downstream?) I worked the O&G sector (exploration) for 20 years back in the 70's &...

Re: PR chance for Korean-American

It's also how the control the demographics here. It's not left up to chance as to why a country in which the majority race manages to maintain their stranglehold on 78% of the population demographic when they have the lowest TFR of all the races here over the past 50 years (and the combined the TFR ...

How long is a piece of string? It will take as long as it takes. Usually from 3 days to 3 months. Welcome to Singapore.

Re: Switching Jobs with an LOC

The LoC is only good for the current job you are on. The employer has to apply for it. It's not yours to do as you see fit. When you leave your current position it will be canceled and you will have to then have a new employer apply for another pass once you are accepted by another employer. You can...
