There are a lot of people that don't believe a fire is hot or that drugs will kill without actually tr...

Re: NS obligations for son

agreed, bro75, but my take on this is if you look at the vast majority of those who have had dependent PR applications being rejected they are mostly from the sub-continent. I think this is just another way of possibly trying to create a situation where the PR gives up their PR and goes home. I migh...

If you are holding dual citizenship as an adult, I won't touch this with a 10' barge pole.

Re: Self deposit in Singapore CPF account.

GSM8, good thought, but it won't fly. He can put all the money he want into CPF (if her were allowed - must be PR or Citizen only) but that doesn't show commitment to Singapore. Singapore gets nothing out of it at all, in fact it costs them money as the rate of return, risk on risk is one of the bes...

Re: S Pass rejected, plans to apply E pass

Much to your dismay, if your employer applied for an S pass you probably do not qualify for an EP. Any normal employer would apply for the EP if you qualified for it (both academically/experience wise and remuneration being offered). It would not make sense to apply for an S pass as they, if given, ...

And others were given a 1 year REP to allow them to button up their affairs here before there REP renewal is rejected for good. Six of one, half-dozen of the other. Feel like gambling?

Re: Self deposit in Singapore CPF account.

In fact, it will send up a red flag that you have been burning the candle at both ends and are now trying your level best to buy your way in. Topping up your CPF doesn't do anything towards being beneficial to the country, it's only beneficial to you. ICA isn't stupid.

Re: Up comming wedding help

It's doubtful if you have the willpower but if you can quit using salt, sugar and cut down to almost zero white starches (bread, potatoes, pasta & rice), you should be able to lose around 10 lbs inside of a month. (but be advised that as soon as you start back using both, you will probably binge...

Re: NS obligations for son

There is also the distinct possibility you will find your re-entry permit renewal shortened to as little as 1 years when you try to renew it and it won't be renewed after that 1 year. It has happened before for the same reason. The Gahment isn't stupid.
