Re: PR approval chance in 2020

Probably will not be approved until you have been married 2 years. But you will probably be able to get LTVP+ but as you are already on a WP you should stay on WP until married two years.

Re: Got my PR IPA! Some question regarding some document.

I think it's primarily nothing more than to visually see the original docs just to confirm submitted docs were copies of copies. It's always best to carry at least what they ask for otherwise, you are just deliberately giving them cause for doubt. I, like Mal, got my PR long before eApplications. Wh...

Re: Additional Documents Asked- does this means anything?

There is also no correlation between the submission of add'l docs and when they get back. It is what it is. Each application, unless you are all cloned robots, is different and will take whatever length of time is necessary to either approve or reject THAT application. All you can do it make the app...

Re: New in Town

I hear that. Next June will be then end of my 4th decade here. I turned 74 in Sept but still look like 60 act like 30 and feel like 80 the morning after when I manage to get out with some of the crew. But yeah, Covid has sure taken its toll on all of us. All we can do is just try to hang in there un...

Re: New in Town

Most of us over 50's are a lot younger at heart than that so tend to gravitate to the 40's (and 30's if we can get away with it. We used to have a FNDC before our 'hostess with the mostest' pass away and it kind of fell apart. Then covid happened and for the last two years virtually squat happening.

Re: Singapore citizenship approval waiting time and likelihood

Approval pretty much assured. Length of time? How long is a piece of string. Patience, my friend, is a virtue. With covid any answer we give regarding length of time is likely to be incorrect.

Re: Navigating quaruntine & LTVP

Why do you think you should be treated any differently than anybody else coming here in the same situation. If you don't you run the risk of being turned around and sent home and losing your job as well. THAT is expensive. Takes all kinds, especially considering you are attempting all this with covi...

Re: Advice on SC application

She does have a valid point as after the age of 38 if a woman has never had a pregnancy, she is considered a high risk for pregnancy with the possibility of a Downs Syndrome child is several magnitudes higher (this is only a factor if it is an initial first pregnancy. Subsequent pregnancies are not ...

Re: How to lose weight?

Dieting is a prescription to correct an imbalance in the body. Some diets do not do this but only cause weight loss. What need retraining/reprogramming is the serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin is what causes/triggers your insulin response. It is also what causes cravings. That was the beauty ...

Re: How to lose weight?

midlet2013, your eating habits are somewhat similar to mine. In the past 5 weeks according to my scales this morning, I've lost 6.2kg in 5 weeks. *I still eat my main meals based according to my weight loss program of 14 years ago. only the weights are not strict, slightly more but not enough to off...

Re: Advice

Sorry, I overlooked your inclusion of your son on the family application. But that notwithstanding, I also think your age, his age, and the fact that you apparently are still in the same industry may make you a flight risk even now. I will retract the 'no way in hell' to a 60:40 in your favour. But ...

Re: Advice on SC application

Probably a done deal. You just need to have patience. Patience is a virtue. No way being ethnically chinese and able to prove it and accepted considered a negative. However, all normal timelines for both PR & SGC are all out of whack due to covid and short staffing/WFH & back and forth. At this poin...
