Re: What to do? I'm deformed and disabled !

BBCDoc, From what I can piece together, she is a Canadian Japanese (probably) who went to (or back to) Japan for surgery which was botched for one reason or another and the repair job was botched as well and only made it worse and now she is going blind in that eye also. But without knowing it's tru...

Re: Hello friends!

Well, a couple of years ago, we had two Yanks, Eastern European and a Filippino as moderators here (only the Filippino has left as he immigrated to Aus). The Admins are in the real estate business and they host this board for us free of charge but with codicils obviously. They are 100% Singaporean. ...

Re: Kidney Transplant recipient effect of Entre Pass Application?

As long as you can get your anti-rejection medication in Singapore easily, I don't see any problem. A least from that standpoint. The Entrepreneur Programme is another ball game. Unless you are planning on going big time, e.g., will have a decent sized local staff, you can pretty much forget going t...

BBCDoc, she IS posting from Japan. I'm just trying to get her to do something to convince the public it's not a scam. So far, there is nothing to suggest that it isn't.

Re: Hello friends!

Splitting hairs, but still, it sounds to be Combat Medic went trying to chat up girls who aren't from Singapore, yeah? NB: Local Girls are not impressed too much by local boys in NS from what I've seen and they already know, in Singapore, titles are usually only for show (in the working world ...

I already know all that. I'm a NAM Vet. I was just being facetious, considering Singapore never been in combat, just play-acting in Australia and Taiwan. :P ;-)

Re: Company sponsorship for PR application

It's not a sponsorship at all, but it is proof that you have a viable job, which, in their eyes, is rather important. After all, they don't want to give you Permanent Residence if you are going to be a ward of the state! As long as you can provide your last 6 month's salary vouchers if and when they...

Well, I just guess you will need to keep waiting then without understanding. You are the 1st person in 14 years on this board who doesn't understand. Good Luck. I fear you may need it.

Re: Hello friends!

I guess you just sit on your hands all day long with not too much to do. Why do they call you a Combat Medic when you've never seen nor or likely to see combat? The closest Singapore has ever gotten to a war zone is in a rear-guard area behind an engagement force (non-Singaporean). I'd say you are p...

Re: Looking for friends all over the world living/on vacation in Singapore!

Why do they call you a combat medic? Singapore has never been in a war and the only time they have been close to one was in a rear echelon position well out of harm's way, so not really a combat medic. More like a Paramedic on an ambulance service.

Re: Employment Pass (EP) is Pending from last 2 months

Depends on where you are from. Some countries are really backward and still don't have all academic records digitalized. Add to that, MOM will not use 'grease' to get documents so it takes however long that the institutions want to drag their heels retrieving hardcopy documents out of boxes in store...

Re: Wife denied entry need advice

The reason for this is your employer needs to do tax clearance one month before your permit expires. You can go on vacation if the employer approves your leave, but most employers will not approve any leave during that time as too many foreign employees have gone on leave and just buggered off, leav...

That's always a possibility, but not likely, as you are probably working cheaper than the local will. But then again, maybe not. 8-)

Re: Any good suggestion for a unique holiday vacation for my family?

Hello, The holidays are the perfect opportunity to enjoy a break from daily routines. the climate is dry, so it's unusual for any outdoor plans to be ruined by rain. Boy-O-Boy, you sure know how to out you ownself in a hurry. It's been raining for a week. But then what would you know, posting from ...
