Re: how to Terminate Contract ?

Singapore is governed by Singapore law, not 'peens law. Therefore your only recourse is to go to the MOM. How long did you work for this employer? Did you work for them more than two months? If so, if you go to the MOM you may well be charged with collusion with the employer to defraud the MOM by ac...

Re: Employment Pass Online Status Not Showing

Possibly, depending on their own backlog. The quotas on the WPOL sites are only updated on the 2nd work day and the 2nd Saturday of each month. So, it's a possibility that they only update periodically on the status changes of applicants, as we often get posters here who have said that they received...

Re: Employment Pass Online Status Not Showing

When was it supposed to have been applied for? Just before National Day? If so, good possibility they took a 4 day weekend just like I did as Thursday was a holiday, take off Friday and have a 4 days weekend. Might get filed today. If it's been over a week, however, maybe they had a change of heart?...

Re: PR Rejection

Even the good income+education can be side-lined as part of the equation. I just had one of my employees gain his PR. He is a Malaysian SPM holder (N level equivalent) who has worked with me for the past 10 years on a Work Permit. About a year ago, I took him off the WP and put him on a Letter of Co...

The fact that it's a UK number if of no consequence when they are selling millions of phone numbers at a go. You reap what you sow.

Re: PR Rejection

Sounds like you are missing something to me. It is simple. Permanent Residence means just that. Permanent. However, as long as you maintain a valid re-entry permit, you can come and go as you please for all intents and purposes (e.g., if you are gone for 4 years and come back during the last year, y...

Re: PR Rejection

Yeah, it would, wouldn't it. Then you all would have to wait longer to see if you can game the system or not. Or if it would even be worth it to try to game the Gahment here. They are getting pretty smart. Oh, PR isn't just for 5 years. It's only the re-entry permit that is for 5 years. You can stay...

Re: Applying for employment pass before giving offer letter

Doesn't matter. Even if you and the employer both signed the employment agreement, if it a position here in Singapore between a Singaporen company and a foreigner, then the contract, while signed, isn't valid until such time as the IPA for the EP has been given. At that point, you are employed for a...

Re: PR application and employment history

You HR probably already knows how to do it. After all, how hard do you think it is? OH, sorry, I see the questions. It just makes me wonder if the Government is lowering their standards if this simple stuff is throwing you a curve ball.

Re: ePR

It's pretty simple really. You go to HR and ask them for a letter outlining your pay for the last six months, broken down by month an by the type of income requested, e.g., listing your basic salary for each month requested and separately any allowances and/or Overtime received for each pay requeste...

Re: PR application and employment history

That's because most are inherently lazy as crap and find it easier to just ask and let somebody else do the legwork. It's also why I get occasionally antsy at some of them. 'tis the problem with the written word, isn't it. without smilies, it's often hard to envisage what is actually being meant. :-k
