Correct It's the same provision when enacting a Dip Clause. You need to provide documentation and sometimes a flight ticket as well.

Re: Singaporeans coming home?

Actually anecdotal evidence suggests just the opposite with the exception of Malaysias. Girls from Thailand, Philippines, VN & PRCs have a harder time as there are so many working girls who come from those countries, that ICA really goes over them with a fine tooth comb. Too many senior guys have lo...

All expats have different pain thresholds. Also depends on where the expat calls home as to what they are willing to spend.

Re: Is there a minimun stay required for an individual in an HDB?

If someone wants to leave before that and the landlord agrees, then I see no reason why they cannot do so. Knowing how HDB and the Gahment in general, they do not like to be played out. The owner could get into trouble and so could the tenant. Especially if the owner then tries to let it out immedi...

Re: Rejection Reasons

Depending on criteria, that is entirely possible. I've known a couple a people, including a member of this board, who were downgraded from an EP to an S pass because of changes of criteria. This is a very likely occurrence that I think we'll be seeing more and more of.

Seeing you are posting from Santiago, maybe you should just contact the Chinese Embassy in Santiago.

Haha :) If I have more questions later, can I PM you? As this board is a collective of information with which we pay a forward to the next person looking for help or answers, we prefer that you keep questions on the forum as somebody else is likely to have a similar question and if you get your ans...

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021

Personally, I think you tick ALL the right boxes for PR from ethnicity to education to current job/connections with the thinkers here. The only flaw which is a deal breaker is the lack of inclusion of your son. You should wait until you have passed 2 years since your previous rejection. While this i...

Maybe Myasis should have used "John Doe" as Meo let 'Jim Smith' go over her head like a lead balloon.

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021

Thank you very much for the feedback. I just want to clarify that I don't want my son to avoid national services if he decides to stay in Singapore with me and my wife. I simply want him to be able to make his own choice when he gets a little older. For example, if he decides to stay in Singapore w...

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021

I am currently applying for PR for myself and my wife for the second time (I also have a 3-year-old son but will not be applying for him). Below is my family's profile: ec777, for the record my son was born in Singapore (I'm an AMVET-NAM) and I strongly believe in Military Service (but that's just ...

Re: Watching a movie in the cinema

It's been probably 20 years since I've been in a movie theater here in SG. just wondering. Bring a big sack of gold. You'll get a shock when you see how much they charge for a movie ticket nowadays. Pricing is ridiculous. Upwards of $40, and thats not even including snacks or drinks. Serious? I'll ...
