Re: LTVP for parent of Permanent Resident
I remember that the application for LTVP requires a DE card number (disembarkation card). This card will be given when entering Singapore. Based on this info, I am assuming that you can apply for the LTVP for your mother when she is in Singapore. But let's see what others have to say. Just wonderin...

Re: Singaporean Citizenship Application Rejected
And lastly, and most unfairly, you nationality will be a stumbling block, even though it shouldn't be. A little off topic perhaps, but do you know of any cases where a student / non-working adult has his/her SC application approved? I only ask because ICA does say that you can apply, but of course ...

Re: how to apply a LTVP or Dependent pass for my foreign second wife
Im Req, i am married to singaporean (my first wife) and i have a second foreign wife and our marriage was solemnized in her country of origin and duly registered at the Syariah Court of her country. I vaguely recall that you are supposed to get ROMM approval first before marrying a 2nd (or 3rd or 4...

Re: My Journey: Converting my new born and myself to Singapore Citizen
For whoever's reading this in 2019, I guess some things have changed a little. The Citizenship application is now online and - for me at least - there was no interview step. I applied online (uploading pdf copies of all my documents) in Feb 2019, and got the IPA letter in Sept 2019. [edit] Some fur...

Re: newborn baby overstayed in singapore
I imagine you were required to appear at the Repatriation Centre every two weeks (a scary place the first time you are hauled in there!) to renew the Special Pass but the staff at ICA were kind (if strict) and my baby is all sorted now I had to renew my baby's special pass for 3 months, good thing ...

Re: Can I go back to SG next year after held at immigration?
I need your help/advice regarding this matter. I went to SG month of May this year to visit my husband (we're newly wed so kinda honeymoon) and about 2 weeks before my 30 day-visit pass ends, we went to Malaysia for 3 days and was under the assumption that my 30 day pass will be refreshed ... basic...

Re: Will I lose my PR status if my father (main applicant) loses his PR?
After the age of 21, if you marry or move out of your parents home (you would no longer be a dependent of your father in either case), then you will have to qualify for PR in you own right based on your own credentials (which might be rather hard). Wow that really stings. I had always assumed that ...

Re: Waiting outcome for Citizenship Application....
Told you 14 days to 3 months. Thanks!! I applied on 2nd Nov, and got the approval on 20th Nov. Completed registration and got his citizenship certificate yesterday. I imagine (uneducated guess) that if both parents are Singaporeans, the sponsorship application probably takes much less time vs if on...

Re: PR application chances
I don't think so unless you were legally adopted. so means that my family background does not help much for my application? since my fa background was complicated.. I don’t know the details or whether it would help at all, but in my SC journey community sharing session there was a new SC gal who ha...

Re: Advise on SC Application
When did you get your SC approved? And how long roughly does the SC journey takes until oath taking? Applied 26-Feb Approved 16-Sep Completed SC Journey 26-Oct* Renounced previous citizenship 28-Oct Took Oath 02-Nov The SC Journey duration really depends on your approval timing compared to the once...

Re: Advise on SC Application
Secondly, l’ve been reading a few of the forum thread which mentioned of a hard copy doc submission. I’ve applied through e-SC (online) since March 2019 and there is no such instruction? On ICA website my status is shown as pending. No appointment for submission or interview. I’m abit confused and ...

Re: Waiting outcome for Citizenship Application....
If you have such a situation why dont you make a trip to ICA and speak to the officer there rather than posting in the forum or talking to the ICA call centre executive over phone? ICA lvl6 ppl also told me “just apply online and wait,” bopian ba for better or worse I made my bed like this now have...

Re: Waiting outcome for Citizenship Application....
1-6 months. What is the rush? My baby had a very difficult first month so with all the stuff going on, I didn't actually get a chance to register him at my old country's high commission before renouncing my citizenship*. So he actually is stateless and needing to renew his special pass every month ...
