Re: Waiting outcome for Citizenship Application....

Told you 14 days to 3 months. Thanks!! I applied on 2nd Nov, and got the approval on 20th Nov. Completed registration and got his citizenship certificate yesterday. I imagine (uneducated guess) that if both parents are Singaporeans, the sponsorship application probably takes much less time vs if on...

And it's cost around SGD300.
As an ex-Malaysian, I can tell you that in my entire journey applying for EP, then PR, then citizenship, I have never translated a single one of my documents.

Re: PR application chances

I don't think so unless you were legally adopted. so means that my family background does not help much for my application? since my fa background was complicated.. I don’t know the details or whether it would help at all, but in my SC journey community sharing session there was a new SC gal who ha...

Re: Advise on SC Application

When did you get your SC approved? And how long roughly does the SC journey takes until oath taking? Applied 26-Feb Approved 16-Sep Completed SC Journey 26-Oct* Renounced previous citizenship 28-Oct Took Oath 02-Nov The SC Journey duration really depends on your approval timing compared to the once...

Re: Advise on SC Application

Secondly, l’ve been reading a few of the forum thread which mentioned of a hard copy doc submission. I’ve applied through e-SC (online) since March 2019 and there is no such instruction? On ICA website my status is shown as pending. No appointment for submission or interview. I’m abit confused and ...

what's the average waiting time for such profiles based on your observations?
Mine was 7 months waiting time this year (applied Feb, approved Sep). M'sian Chinese, Husband + Wife (no kids), both of us ~11 years in SG of which ~8 years SPR, age also more or less around yours.

Re: Waiting outcome for Citizenship Application....

If you have such a situation why dont you make a trip to ICA and speak to the officer there rather than posting in the forum or talking to the ICA call centre executive over phone? ICA lvl6 ppl also told me “just apply online and wait,” bopian ba for better or worse I made my bed like this now have...

Re: Waiting outcome for Citizenship Application....

1-6 months. What is the rush? My baby had a very difficult first month so with all the stuff going on, I didn't actually get a chance to register him at my old country's high commission before renouncing my citizenship*. So he actually is stateless and needing to renew his special pass every month ...

Re: Waiting outcome for Citizenship Application....

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for approval for sponsoring your child's citizenship? Wife and I are both new citizens, our son was born after we got our AIP but before we managed to complete our SG journey and take oath.

Re: newborn baby overstayed in singapore

I doubt you will need a lawyer, more likely you will be asked to pay a fine of some sort. However having said that I do not have any actual knowledge or experience in this so please feel free to disregard this.

Do let us know the outcome, cheers!

Re: switching from employment pass to PR. How would my take home pay change due to CPF ?

Or does it differ based on company policy ? This. As others in the thread have shared, some companies expect not to be 'financially penalized' and therefore reduce your basic pay. Many (most?) other companies are not so CB and will keep your basic pay untouched. For these companies, your take home ...

Re: My Journey: Converting my new born and myself to Singapore Citizen

Congratulations mate. That’s really quick. Do you mind to share your profile ? Wife and I are both Malaysian Chinese so ... easy mode :( Mid-late 30's, been in SG for 8 years, PR just over 5 years. I have MBA, wife has Degree, both of us are upper middle class I guess. Applied together as we have n...

Re: My Journey: Converting my new born and myself to Singapore Citizen

For whoever's reading this in 2019, I guess some things have changed a little. The Citizenship application is now online and - for me at least - there was no interview step. I applied online (uploading pdf copies of all my documents) in Feb 2019, and got the IPA letter in Sept 2019. [edit] Some furt...

Re: Applying citizenship for my baby

Just proceed to ICA Building level 6 and the friendly staffs there will tell you the next step needed for the application. (The process is faster than the normal citizenship application) Hi nchls_nc (and anyone else who has experience). I called up ICA and they mentioned to me that e-Service / onli...
