Re: Icon residence, one Shenton, the Clift , the sail which is better ?
All are fine, but Icon and Sail for instance have no balconies. Sail and 1 Shenton aren't the closest to grocery shopping unless you want to overpay for Jasons or Coldstorage but then again they're not exactly on your doorstep for 1 Shenton. Of the four you have selected I would go for Clift or 1 Sh...

Re: Dependent pass or employment pass
Will working under dependent visa better for me in terms of tax and insurance benefits? Only you and you alone know your tax situation so you'll need to make the decision. You don't even mention which country you're coming from which is a key factor here... You also have the third option to continu...

Re: SCB Relocation Package?
SCB, good luck. They've just made massive cut-backs in their expat numbers in senior roles throughout the bank. They only offer local contracts and have been doing so for probably 10 years. ...and SCB you should consider a different company. It's one of the worst places to work and has a very poor r...

Re: !! Working for overseas company as DP in SG!
First, the company must have no legal presence in Singapore, otherwise you would need a work permit to work for that legal presence in Singapore. And second, the company must not offer goods or services in Singapore, otherwise, it would be required to form a legal entity, then obtain a work permit ...

Re: Furniture and appliances
Appliances like white goods I would not as condo's usually come with them already. Furniture on the other hand really depends on what you have already, the quality and if you like and want to keep them. As with most places in the world you can get a range from very cheap to very expensive. You need ...

Re: Do you think there will be more fire sale?
Total the opposite, property price are likely to go up. In times of uncertainty money shifts to safer havens, e.g. gold, cash and in the cash of Singapore property. As a large chuck of the value of a property is in the land and not the building itself and as land goes at a premium, property is seen ...

Re: Dilemma with providing salary information
The issue for me is I may have over exaggerated my salary when I was negotiating with my new employer and obviously they will see the application form. Will the Singapore Government verify my previous salary or...? You need to get past the hurdle of the new company first. You better hope that they'...

Re: Why is this not enough to live in Singapore?
I've been told by so many people that I would be insane to move to Singapore with that Salary but I can't understand why. They're just jealous! That money is more than fine for a young singleton. Just come out here and enjoy  On your budgeting you've missed of utilities, such as water, ele...

Re: Police Check (from UK); VIETNAM employment
I've needed to produce UK police records in previous roles e.g government and also obtaining certain licencing.
Shouldn't be any issue unless you of course do have a police record...

Re: Finding a job
You say you're looking at this long term.... to put it bluntly it could take a long time. Best bet is to position yourselves as well as you can job wise in the UK to open those opportunities to get a transfer here. You say you husband works for a global bank, he should perhaps re position himself to...

Good luck trying to enact that based on your resignation.

Think its China First Capital Group? https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/china-first-capital-group-stock-plunges-76-half-hour-trading-2019-11-1028720988 You would expect it's more an exception to the rule, dumping a huge volume will do this to the price: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/a...
