Hi, Tax residency is not dependable on work permit. It is determined by period of stay in Singapore. If your business if continual business, then i will suggest to register as SP. In the future, if your business is expanding, you could simply convert SP to private limited. Just my two cents.

Hi Strong Eagle,

It’s not violate any regulations as it is allowed under Singapore custom. This is so called “back to back” certificate of origins. Please check if you are not sure how this industry is worked. Many exporters and importers are doing this.

Hi Afham, It definitely can be done. The key point lies on your freight forwarding company. You could re-invoicing your supplier's invoice and packing list under your company name. And also you could instruct the forwarder states your company as shipper on bill of lading instead of your supplier as ...

Of course they have, but in some countries you could not purchased via online. In Malaysia, it's called Registration of Company or Business.

It's fine to issue invoice with your own name without register a sole proprietorship. But the income will need to be declared as personal income.
