Re: EP Renewal - Worked Overseas since - Seeking advice

Why do you want to keep your EP if you are not living/working in Singapore? It is not a trophy that you should have in your wallet. Just ask your SG employer to directly deposit your salary in your foreign account.

Re: LTVP for Institute of Higher Learning graduates

Hi. I am Indian, obtained my PhD from NTU in 2016. After my PhD I joined work directly and have been on EP until NOV 30. I gave my EP back and obtained a 30-day SVP that expires coming DEC 30. I was told that I am eligible for the LTVP given to graduates from Singaporean universities . Every gradua...

Re: Taxation when working overseas

It is very simple.. If you are Singapore citizen, your residential status does not matter.. you have to pay residential rate on all your income in Singapore. If you were non-resident in a tax year then you don't have to declare your earning in the foreign country while filing your income tax in Sing...

Re: dependent pass eligibility of a child of a single mother

Eligibility and approval are two different things. You are eligible to apply DP for YOUR child if he/she is unmarried and under 21 years old. Approval will be determined by MOM.

You can't apply a dependent pass. Ask your employer to apply for it.

Re: USA tourist/business visa procesing time

Depends completely on your profile. I have seen people getting 10 years visa in just 7 working days and some got their visa after their intended date of travel and that too for 1 month only.

Are those self service booths good enough?
self service booths will not be OK .... may be you can check with banks if they have any low interest loan scheme for this.

Re: Singapore-born children on student pass

Dear sundaymorningstaple, thank you v much for your well-informed reply, and this is what I suspected would be the case too. However, it is not mentioned officially anywhere, hence I chose to ask. (As opposed to the scenario where consequences of giving up your PR are clearly mentioned on ICA websi...

Re: Early renewal of Indian passport

I have an Indian passport and currently lives in SG. It is valid until 2019 October. But the blank pages are not sufficient enough to meet my summer travel plans. I need to go for an early renewal. In BLS website it is mentioned, "If passport validity is more than one year, original company letter ...

Re: Gangster Friends

Sorry if this weird. I am intrigued by people who turn rebellious in society due to any compelling or strong reasons in their lives. I am not a social reformer nor a specialist in any such subject, but simply like to befriend such folks just a way to understand them and share healthy/good friendshi...

Re: Buy EUR and USD in Singapore

Hi, I need to purchase EUR and USD frequently with big volume for very small scale home biz. But the money transfer rates eat up most of my profit. If anyone has Eur/usd need to sell, please contact me. We can trade at the rate = (selling rate+buying rate)/2. No cash. All DBS transfer (both way) So...

Your company can help you to get business visit visa but I am not sure how ICA will react if you come every month and stay for 1 week.

Re: Confusion about first entry to Singapore

Hello all I'm looking for consulting (IT) work in Singapore. I am not a Singaporean and I don't hold a work pass. Most jobs I see are advertised through the jobs bank. Yet I can't even apply for those if I don't already have a SingPass. And I can't get a SingPass unless I already work in Singapore....
