@Lisafuller,
I have a very young child and have never felt the need to have a car, been here over 6yrs.
Easily used baby strollers on public transport. Even if a car is required once in a while, taxis are plentiful and affordable.

Re: Pending or Rejected ?!
Thanks, true - it is best to assume the worst. Strange that the pages are not synced, given the rest of the ICA website including the PR form has decent software build quality. The outcome, assuming Reject, is not so surprising. It's the speed of Rejection that surprises me. This was my second attem...

Pending or Rejected ?!
On the ICA Dashboard page that appears upon login, my PR application status shows as 'Pending'.
But if I navigate to PR > Enquire Application Status page, it shows as 'Rejected'.
Anyone seen such differing statuses for your PR application before ? Don't know what to make of it.

Re: Is this salary enough for a family of 3?
10k is very much possible and you won't be squeezed. you will be able to save. - monthly budget 2.5k for rent, about $500-600 for grocery, another $500 for utilities, telecom, transport, misc expenditure - upto the age of 6, child can go to neighborhood kindergarten/ childcare, no need of admitting ...

Re: PR approval chance in 2020
Thank you very much SingaporeFlyer and Jamie9Vardy I am employed rather than a business owner so that seems like it would lessen my chances. Ironically one of the main drivers for wanting to get PR is to facilitate property purchase so I can stay here permanently even after the children finish scho...

Re: Shoplifting
It happened to me couple of yrs ago, that I came back from NTUC with groceries, and while emptying out the bags at home I noticed a bell pepper that I didn't recollect purchasing. It wasn't mentioned on my bill too. Turned out my then 2 year old had picked up the shiny green bell pepper for her amus...

Re: PEP processing time (personal employment pass)
For the record, applying for PEP is not just a formality. When PEP first came out it was to be a stepping stone for EP holders to take a tenative step to PR which also has a lot of baggage that goes along with it, like NS for male dependents. It was rather abused as it was originally for 5 years an...

Re: How the hell do you upload cover letter, testimonials et all in ePR?
I wonder why ICA does not crack down on these bogus PR agencies.
Its ok to provide form-filling services & advertise that.. but blatantly lying that their cover letters and shit will improve PR chances is surely BS that ICA can call out and put a stop to ? no ?

Re: How the hell do you upload cover letter, testimonials et all in ePR?
short answer - Cannot. long answer - I applied recently, the e-PR form has no provision to upload docs that they haven't asked for, i.e. cover letters, reco letters, volunteering proofs etc. If you try to send these to ICA via email, they will ask you not to bother them with all this unwanted stuff....

Re: PR approval chance in 2020
i applied for PR recently so can confirm that uploading volunteering evidence is not possible on the e PR site, there simply is not an option to submit anything 'additional' apart from what they have asked for. Soon after submitting my PR app, i had some profile/ salary changes so I emailed ICA with...

I've been getting a lot of them lately which is unusual, so maybe you are right.
Unfortunately i can't resist popping / scratching / squishing them so have ended up dalmatian-faced.

Re: PR approval chance in 2020
Hi all, I want to ask if the online system allows us to upload any recommendation letters now? No. can not upload as they don't ask for it in the application. And if you try emailing it to ICA later, they may come back with a curt response asking you to stick to only the docs they have asked for. S...
