Re: DP and EP rejections due to COVID19

Meet criteria and got just my wife on DP, with my pass expiring in about a year. We are all in Singapore and haven’t travelled since January. The rejection letter did mention that we can appeal if we are in Singapore, otherwise re-apply once social distancing measures have been lifted. There is no h...

DP and EP rejections due to COVID19

Hi, Anyone affected by recent circuit breaker? I just got my newborn’s DP application rejected after waiting 2 days. A bit scary. There is an auto extension of 28 days for special passes, however I heard from employer that lots of EP and DP applications are getting rejected on the spot. Anyone in th...

Re: Run-of-the-mill PR chance thread

Thanks. It’s not exactly a simple 1:1 when matching population demographics to accepted PR demographics. There are citizen growth trends, PR turnover as well as other factors. Although it’s probably still a fair estimate. For anyone interested, “Others” population was about 3% (2015). PR acceptance ...

Re: Run-of-the-mill PR chance thread

Thanks. Let’s hope there is somewhat of a ratio balance with significantly less Caucasian applicants overall. Either way I’m quite stubborn to stay here, even if it means penny pinching on an EP. On another note, does it really matter what time of the year you submit the application? I assume it’s a...

Re: Run-of-the-mill PR chance thread

FYI sorry if the numbers don't exactly add up, but I was studying overseas and under 21 when my father applied for PR for the rest of the family. So they might have been here even longer, 2007 ish and applied for PR even sooner than I initially thought.

Re: Micro Investment Apps

Unfortunately, seeing a jar fill up with loose change will only entice my urges to run along to the vending machine downstairs far more often than I should. Plus my wife would just smack me silly and find some way to stuff it into her wallet. Plus the idea of having a penny portfolio sounds like a f...

Re: Micro Investment Apps

Are you implying something here? I've actually edited my previous post to avoid any possible confusion that I am here to advertise.

Genuinely wondering about this fairly new concept of mobile micro investment. Seems all I find is available only in America. ](*,)

Micro Investment Apps

Hi, Was wondering if there are any micro investment apps for Singapore region. Did a quick google search and saw a few available but only for North America/Europe. Essentially these are apps that accept pocket change investments and hold them in primarily ETFs (exchange traded funds). Best I found w...
