Any gatherings tonight? A few friends and I are getting together for a few drinks at Emerald Hill. PM me if you are interested in joining.

Robin, Difficult to answer as you don't mention which school or what your housing budget is. My family and I have just relocated as of December so I can offer you this. Housing deposits are normally 1 month's rent for a one year lease and 2 months for two years. Not sure if this is law or just commo...

I'm sure you could negotiate something. I got a nice place recently within around the same budget and it came partly furnished. I was told that if it is furnished, it is possible to negotiate to have the furniture removed. It's up to the owner though.

Hi Mo,

Thanks for the update. Yes, we found some finally.

How have you been? Sorry I couldn't respond earlier. The relo was a bit hectic as you might know. The family and I are finally getting settled so if you have some time, let's catch up.

Dryer sheets

Strange question but does anybody know where I can find dryer sheets in Singapore? In particular my wife wants the brand Bounce but I guess any will do. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we have tried the normal routes, Carrefour, Watsons etc.

Thanks!

If you do a 2 year lease, they usually ask for 2 months deposit plus the rest.

Poorboy, You might want to contact MoM directly and ask. I know that the medical checkup seems to be mainly focused on Aids and TB but I don't know if your situation will affect your ability to get an employment pass. It is best to ask them directly as they are quite good about responding. Sorry I c...

Once you have decided to go forward with your offer, your company will supply you with the necessary documents to fill out. Fill them and attach the passport sized picture, and any necessary documents such as degree etc and a resume. Send that back to your company and they will submit it to SingPost...

From the time MoM sent the acknowledgement letter to my company, it took 6 days for me to get my EP. I am in a similar situation as you so I hope this helps. You shouldn't have a problem I think.

Newsense, I will try to shed some light on this subject for you as I just recently asked the same question and am in a similar situation as you (no degree). First of all, I am assuming by your post that your intent is to not go with your company to singapore and to try to find a new job there. Apolo...

It seems like there is a long waiting list now as well for quarantine. You can't even ship your pets unless you have booked space so be prepared to make arrangements to have someone take care of them until they can be shipped.
