Re: Refused SG entry, how to get him back if we want to get married?

Feshakov, I empathize with your situation. Hope for the best outcome for your and your family. The system here is rather unforgiving at times, so hope you have a happy end to all this.

Re: Refused SG entry, how to get him back if we want to get married?

<You are not some subcontinental trying to flagrantly break Singapore rules> Really sorry to OP for her situation. Diversion on the thread but the above seems like casual racism to me? Or are we talking about some published statistics of what Subcontinental people are doing with rules? There are rul...

Re: Citizenship rejected

"I thought PR application is only for those who have not decided whether they will go for citizenship" The stated position seems to be otherwise? Most references I come across on different forums mention PR as a "stepping stone" to Citizenship. If someone does not apply for a PR because he/she would...

Re: Citizenship rejected

You did not apply for PR for your son? And instead directly applied for Citizenship? I know of friends who want to be either "all in" or "all out" for their children. i.e they will have sons on LTVP and try for citizenship but will never apply for PR in the interim. Are you on such a boat? I have no...

Re: Citizenship rejection

Purely based on anecdotal evidence, after a second REP renewal (read 10 years of continuous stay) seems to increase the citizenship hit rate noticeably for Indian origin applicants :)

Re: Query: Visit Visa receving attention

I had a similar experience.. Over a short period of time (1-2 months) I had to sponsor 10 applications.. The 10th one was auto-rejected by the system.. After I spoke to an officer personally at ICA, they asked me to provide additional documentation and the visa was approved..They took a letter from ...

Re: Looking for perspective on Abortion and the USA and rest of the world.

I am not sure of what is right or not. But one thing I am sure of. Whatever might be the reason for abortion (health-related, financial, other social issues), the mother-and-only-the mother involved should be vested with the full rights to such a decision (not husband ..not certainly family).. All m...

Re: Is Experience/ Relieving Letter mandatory?

OP, from my experience too with 4+ employers in Singapore, it is normal to issue experience/employment/relieving letters. (with some it is standard part of the process and some they do on request). However rarely do next employers ask for those.. As long as you have cleared the referral checks and n...
