Re: RE: Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

So you have no part in this charade but your husband's? Hence he need to be punished? I had decided that post would be my last, but whenever I've looked at this thread I've felt like answering this question so here goes, as per what I believe: Regarding the plot hatched by my husband, no it was ent...

Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

Hello all, I would like this to be my final post in this thread, I do not wish to write anymore after the umpteen paragraphs I have written. I have decided to not stay married and I shall seek alimony, I am sure we could reach a reasonable alimony acceptable to my husband and myself. Just to clarify...

Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

What I don't understand are these so called modern, well educated Indian women who appear modern outward, clothing fashion etc, but want their husbands to pay for everything, support them financially and then sit at home and do nothing, when a break up crisis like this occurs, they can't seem to think...

Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

If you really want to go down this path, try and get some evidence of his infidelity. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk That is a very good idea, with proof in my hands, it will be easy to explain why I ended the marriage, wish I had set about gathering evidence before friend left SG. However if...

Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

From all I have read I am wondering: Isn't moving away from the Indian community an option? It's not like you live in India so just move to "the other side of the island" and build a new friend circle? Especially if you go with the divorce option and start working somewhere. Or isn't that as easily...

Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

Will your family be understanding enough that you/your soon-to-be-ex will not be giving them money for 3-6 months while you find your ways to be independent? Family will be understanding enough but as I mentioned they'd be devastated my marriage was the only bright spot in their unhappy life.

Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

Will your family be understanding enough that you/your soon-to-be-ex will not be giving them money for 3-6 months while you find your ways to be independent? or go for broke and demand a lump sum payment during divorce ?? That may work, if the divorce takes place in Singapore. A lu...

Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

[quote="PNGMK" 3. In my completely random way of thinking you would be best to convince your husband to move somewhere else where you can 1. Utilize your qualifications and earn more and 2. Undergo IVF or AI to have a child ASAP and 3. Sue him for divorce in a jurisdiction where common property laws...

I think so, seeing how calculating he is in other aspects of his life, he probably wouldn't have married me had he been straight, would've shopped around for better looks, higher earning capacity, more family earning etc.

Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

"Because our friends are having kids and think we're odd" is a supremely bad reason to decide to have a child, which is at least what you implied. Please don't do that, at least for the child's sake. With 100% zero malice, you need to have some sensitivity to Indian culture, when you come out with ...

Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

Op did say that she was educated, I think the direction she would need to take is to get a job, send some money back to her parents, and save enough money to be financially independent. Even a low paying job that fetches 3k is enough.. That's what a fresh graduate gets more or less. I can get betwe...

Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

:D And I wonder if the OP's parents paid dowry to marry the guy ;) if she didn't, well, at least her husband was more civilised on that score. Somehow asking for and getting divorce doesn't have the same stigma as before, agreed, but in the time during the completion of the paperwork, the girls do ...

Re: Please help serious family problem Indian woman

I drafted a massive reply and then Tapatalk crashed, and now I can't be anussed retyping the whole thing. The gist of what I was going to say is that raj is right in the sense that you want to divorce your husband for his amoral nature yet you seem to be keen on manipulating him for your own means,...
