Re: Lets start a Crypto Group

If you want to form a crypto group why would you tell everyone about it?

Or do we have a steganographer here and I just need to re-read the message?

Go down to Geylang. Wander around the cafes there until you find a guy at a table with lots of pistachio shells scattered around. Buy him a drink and then discuss his fee for sorting our your problem...

Re: Popular General/Homeware etc... Stores?

DIY is not something that Singaporeans do here. There are HomeFix and SelfFix outlets, but they have limited range. (And it's not just those kinds of shops that have a limited range of goods on offer.) For Brita Maxtra I now buy online from Qoo10. In fact, for anything other than groceries I tend to...

Re: More "sensible" urban planning

What else shall we add?
Narrow pavements?
Cycling (now) allowed (but previously tolerated) on already narrow pavements?
Inadequate motorcycle parking?
Pavement shelters that occupy part of the pavement?

Re: I feel so sad having to choose between SG and Canada

...countries that have relatively liberal immigration policies (Canada and Australia come to mind)... The key word there might be "relatively" as far as Oz is concerned. I had hoped to relocate there and get PR, but I'm now too old (over 45) and not rich enough (don't have a few million d...

Sounds just like the kinds of statements previous US presidents made in (relative) private.

The difference is that Trump does not separate his public and private personas.

Re: The Donald ... Getting stuff Done!!!

Trump and his crew starting to stick their nose into Iran's business again!! Other than the hypocrisy of it all , when the US Govt gonna learn not to stick its nose in others business!! Leave it up to Iran to sort out themselves. Ah yes, just like how George W Bush's actions got Mahmoud Ahmadinejad...

Re: Police Reports

IMO 9/10 police reports get 'round filed' unless they actually include criminal activity such as drugs, loan sharks or vice or abuse of women. So many of them are just Singaporean's whining about each other. Or people report stolen bicycles which transform into reports of lost bicycles... Welcome t...

Re: Cheating?

Leaving aside whether something is fair or not, there are just rules to be followed and that's it. Rules or not, why is it a criminal matter? Fouling someone on a football pitch does not get one arrested. Oh I forgot, casino operators insist on governments enacting certain pieces of legislation bef...

Re: Cheating?

BTW, you may find watching the Rain Man movie interesting. Which is why I don't understand why card counting is cheating. Isn't that what one's supposed to do, just that some people do it better than others? I mean, you're supposed to remember what's been bid and played when playing bridge in order...

The daughter of an American friend has the same ability with 'American English' vs. 'British English' after living in the UK for a couple of years. You mean 'American English' vs 'English'? Is that Scottish, Welsh, Irish, Cockney or Received Pronunciation when you say English. All of the abov...
