SRS investment options

As the title says - what do you suggest? As some background, my regular investments are in ETFs - I currently hold CSPX, CNDX & IWM which I plan to hold for decades. And I'm also testing the waters with Syfe REITS. So I'm looking for similar alternatives among SRS enabled investments - the 2 US ETFs...

Re: Is there a minimun stay required for an individual in an HDB?

There is a minimum tenure for the TA. If I recall correctly, it is 12 months. Correction - from the link posted, it is 6 months. From what I can see, 6 months is the minimum tenure of the agreement. If someone wants to leave before that and the landlord agrees, then I see no reason why they cannot d...

Re: Rejection Reasons

Agree it is fair to equate integration to family ties alone. Hope the OP doesnt fall into the traps set by PR agencies for integration with ridiculous suggestions . but from the accounts I have read here, they seem to be full of sh1t. That highlighted phrase is so true lol. You seem to have s...

He's not yet been rejected? Maybe he will be given good news soon or eventually?

Re: PR application for myself or to include my family?

Assuming that you do apply for your whole family, the fact that your family is likely to not be staying in Singapore is not going to look very good to whoever is assessing your application. That apart, age could be a factor. 40 seems to be the cut off and you'll be lucky to be approved above that ag...

Re: Rejection Reasons

Looks like a standard template as always. And seems like they are merely stating the obvious. Not worth splitting hairs over. As for the integration bit - my take is that most Indians fail to integrate and hence are not considered for PR. Some get it despite not integrating because they obviously t...

Re: Singaporeans coming home?

Yes agreed. I can now understand why you are a little cautious. Definitely try to get in touch with fellow Thais here to help her settle in. Language barrier can be a big thing.

Apart from that, little things like going to Golden mile to shop or eat may be useful to give her a little taste of home.

Re: Singaporeans coming home?

My thoughts are that there may not be too many people here in your exact situation, but there certainly are a ton of foreigners who made the move here not knowing anyone in this country. They then made this place home. So at least, you could probably get a lot of affirmation from foreigners on how t...

Re: Dine-in limit

Yes i feel gyms may increase membership fee beyond a certain point due to actual and potential revenue loss More than the fear that my gym might increase the fee is the frustration of a regular lifter. Long breaks which happen frequently are a set back. You keep having to start almost from scratch ...

^ property prices have already fallen because of the cooling measures. Hard to tumble from here. That would take some doing.
