Hong Kong is better?

The author lays out the facts and its hard to disagree that he's right about the points he raises.
However, there's the issue of Hong Kong's uncertainty. What are your thoughts?

Get separate phones. I learnt the lesson when I changed employers years ago, I had to rearrange bank accounts, utilities, never mind all the 2FA process now.

Re: Personal and work phone

Re: Noisy koel birds disturbing my sleep

How do you guys sleep with its noise...i find it extremely annoying to be woken up by their 'alarm clocks' at 6-7am...drives me crazy.. I have an angry bird (nearly 2 year old toddler) who wakes me up at least once or twice a night. I use 10mg of melatonin to ensure that I get a half decent sleep d...

Re: Foreign Spouse first extension STVP or LTVP?

Why don't you phone up the ICA and ask them what could be the reason. I think there is a certain window during which you can apply for renewal of the STVP. I believe, they usually tell people to renew within a week from the expiry of the pass.

Re: PR Application - Need help to pick right occupation for my role

For whatever it's worth, there is a section in the annex where you can describe your role in a bit more detail. What difference it will make in the outcome is anyone's guess.

Re: Changing job during EP application advise

Yep. Loss of reputation is what I'd be most worried about. The HR and the hiring manager could well turn up at a future work place and they'll remember you as that mercenary.

So lovely. How long has it been? Did you adopt a baby or an older child? We adopted a baby - she was 3 weeks old when she came home and she's around 21 months old now. It has been a great experience so far. She's lively, keeps us all on our toes and is very well liked wherever she goes. So nice, if...

Re: Interesting PR approval (IPA -applied remotely).

They are currently between a rock and a hard place. Grab the foreign talent before all the other first world countries grab it, and if they do, taking a chance on losing the next election as the minions who vote, are against FTs at the moment. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Just my opini...
