Re: Odds for PR

I would say very good chances. At that salary level, your husband is likely to be in a senior executive position which ICA knows is indicative of his company wishing to base itself in SG as opposed to, for example, Jakarta, KL etc. In the current climate this will be good for SG and they know that. ...

Re: PR approval letter

Mine took almost 6 weeks to arrive. 6 weeks biting my nails hoping that they hadn't changed their minds, and of incessantly feeling around my postbox twice a day.....eventually came through but only after I emailed them.

Re: Landlord Refusing to Return Depoist and Extorting for More

Small claims court. There aren't any legal fees involved and your case will be heard very quickly. Nothing to do with Police as it's a civil matter, not criminal. In law, burden of proof is on landlord to prove his entitlement to the deposit. Based on what you've said so far, he hasn't met that burd...

Any PRs here applied or been through this? Am thinking of doing it, and would be interested to know of your experience. Obviously don't want anything you can't disclose.

Re: Slimming Coffee

Caffeine inhibits hunger, so in that sense, it can slim you down. Also, I guess if you have a lactose intolerance, and have a hot latte, then that too can slim you down in its own unique way.

Re: Cycling advice

Cycling on pavements is currently illegal though sensible riders are tolerated. New legislation is being introduced, possibly by year end, to allow but regulate wheels on pavements.

Re: Chances of getting Singapore Citizenship

One question I have always had is whether ICA take into account the time spent here under EP and not just as PR, assuming it was an uninterrupted transition from EP to PR. For example, if one had lived here for 10 years under EP but just 2 as a PR, would the ICA think "oooh this person's been h...

Re: No slots left in e-Appointments System for PR Application Submission

Just be sure to have all your documents and the completed form ready. I say this because I know people who scoured the available appointments each day, and would suddenly find a vacant slot just the next day or day after.

Re: Kindly help: What would happen to my LTVP after divorcing?

Were you married in Singapore under Singapore law, or abroad? If you did the marriage here, then the MOM will automatically know about any divorce and probably feed that into ICA.

Re: Does size matters?

I'm assuming it's a wind up, but funny to go along with it. The responses have been from witty to sympathetic. Be careful though, as some post these things, for the sheer purpose of inflaming and eliciting questionable responses.

Some ladies are quite, ahem, "large" . I suggest you avoid them, else it'll be like a needle in a haystack....

Re: House Prices could drop by a Quarter?

Why is a Dow Jones index the be all and end all? If we are to pull up indices then what about this: http://www.weforum.org/agenda/2015/09/the-top-10-most-competitive-economies-in-europe/ clearly shows UK far lagging Germany and based on your reasoning that an index must be right, you are clearly wro...
