Re: Internet advice for the clueless

It's a new condo construction (D'leedon) but no idea what fibre even is. I wasn't being modest about the clueless part.
How would I find out about fibre?

Re: Oldest Australians in Singapore?

Re: Oldest Australians in Singapore?

Yep, I suspect you could be right about finding BRISBANE boring, especially now that I know we are NOT the oldest expats here! My partner just loves his new job and I love him, so following him seems right. We are not married though and getting a long term visitor pass for me may be problematic. I a...

Re: Oldest Australians in Singapore?

Hi everyone, thank you for the info and the assurance that we are NOT the oldest expats in Singapore. My partner is a GM and he is having the time of his life. It was an unexpected career turn and he is enjoying it enormously. He loves Singapore and his enthusiasm is contagious! I will check out ANZ...

Re: Condo ideas please help

Thank you for dose of reality and for the tip on the park connector for running and the public pool (yes he is a serious swimmer). If we focus on the area Marine Parade/ Parkway parade, forget about bathtub and raise our rent to $3500, then any recommendations for a nice place? Can anyone rent HDB? ...

Re: Unmarried Australian spouse following partner to Singapo

Right then. It seems the best I can do is visit him in Singapore after the first month (he will be very busy in new job), find accomodation that suits our needs long term (Holland Village I think), start shopping for an engagement ring, organise a simple wedding in Singapore and move over permanentl...

Re: Unmarried Australian spouse following partner to Singapo

If I forget about working in Singapore, can I still live there with him full time? Or would I only be allowed to visit for short periods of time?
