Re: Employment Pass - Changing Jobs

The SAT also helps with requirement on past employment in Singapore as well as any pending applications. No harm giving it a try. If ultimately the SAT fails you can trial and error and see if the pending employment pass actually impedes your application from getting approved. Sent from my iPad usin...

Re: Employment Pass - Changing Jobs

I think your education and job that you are applying put you in a very good position for your EP to be approved. You can always go to MOM site to try out their self assessment tool to see how you stand. http://beta.mom.gov.sg/en/passes-and-permits/employment-pass/eligibility" onclick="window.open(th...

Re: Uber

Hahaha. It's such a pity that you think I am sponsored in any way to promote this in a closed forum that cannot be accessed by Google bots. Why are you so repulsive? I'm not even flaming you or anything.

Re: Shoplifting record few years back can apply Spass?

Look whose the judgmental one now. HAHAHAHA. I'm writing from personal experience - I use to apply SPass for my employees previously and even without a bad track record it is pretty darn hard to get it approved.

Re: Uber

I'm not saying Uber is better than taxis in every aspect, but it does provide a viable competitor to tip the scales of taxi pricing monopoly. Sure, if you guys feel safer and more comfortable taking a taxi - go ahead. To me, UberX is providing some real competition to the monopoly that the Taxi comp...

Re: Uber

Rape incident is in India not USA. Singapore taxi drivers do not insure the passengers as well. Flout the law? How so?

Then again, I guess it's personal preference.

Re: Falling oil prices

We actually import and reexport the oil. I guess there wouldn't be so much of an impact as the falling oil prices will most likely increase consumption and eventually, the middleman (Singapore) will still get is comm for processing the oil for reexport.

Re: Uber

Uber has been known to side step a lot of these regulations and they will continue to do so. I bet they'll be here to stay - and that's a good thing actually. I use Uber cause they don't have the regualar 10% surcharge like the taxis when you pay by card and the fact that you don't have to worry abo...
