Appreciate the reply guys.

I understand that it is frustrating to have been asked this question many-a-time.

Take care!

Re: Singapore Citizenship Question

Hi Ecurelix,

Well, I did follow up with them a couple of times in person, and I was not rejected.

Most recently, after a phone conversation, where I was advised to write in to their email, and I did. It has been a few weeks and nothing has changed.

If it is true, I hope I can break that trend :)

Re: SPR Processing Time

@sms - haha! It is not about play-play, but I was assuming that since they have the PR info., since the REP has to be re-issued, the passport details will also be automatically picked up. Nonetheless, I have no issues submitting the passport details to them. @ecurelix - the reason I mentioned PR is ...

Re: SPR Processing Time

Hi there,

I have now been waiting for over 16 months :o Applied in the last week of Oct 2013 :)

Also, I wanted to check why we would need to update the ICA regarding the new passport being issued? I applied for a new re-entry permit - would that not suffice? :???:

Appreciate your input on this.

@ thelynx: and maybe therein lies the issue - I think as newbies we are not able to distinguish between an "innocent" comment and vice versa. I do apologise since I can appreciate that zzm9980 meant nothing by it and I may have inadvertently flared up an unnecessary discussion. It is not lost on me ...

@ nakatago and my point is, you can call me out since you are the "moderator", but I certainly do not need your advice. I do not think you are being fair, and that is my opinion and I am sure you have yours. If you believe that I am not right for this community, and you wish to censor my posts or ha...

@zzm9980 I do not doubt that. As I mentioned, yes, not every post is of the same value but not each one of us here is here to "score points" either. We are here to help each other. You see the value in posting only functional and some others take comfort in reading about other peoples status/waiting...

@zzm9980 I am not saying you should be punished. I was merely pointing out that there are double standards. Also, I don't think we want to get into the area of the "standard of english". For some, it may not be their first language and my stance would be that you could say something if it is useful ...

@nakatago So the "seniors" are allowed to make discerning remarks and yet the newbies are not allowed the same privilege? I have been here long enough so I need not and do not need life lessons on how to manage my time/life in Singapore. I have assimilated in Singapore and I do not need you to advis...
