Re: Expat neighbourhood lowdown..

You might want to look at an old colonial black and white. Google SPIO and look at the their rentals. These are govt owned former British civil servant and army housing units. Most of them have yards. Hmmm... good suggestion. But whippets... the greenery that surrounds most of those beautiful black...

Maybe we shouldn't assume that the OP is only interested in dating Western men?

I think that was the TS' attempt at localising their message.

Re: The Donald ... Getting stuff Done!!!

Well, when you consider that... "21% of Fallen Soldiers Die 'Non-Hostile' Deaths. More than 20 percent of the U.S. soldiers who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan were killed not by enemy combatants but in “non-hostile” circumstances, including friendly fire, suicide, illness and accidents."...

Re: Any issues with leaving Singapore Early after Employment End-date?

Your last month's salary had already been held by your employer for any possible tax payable. As a result, your tax liabilities are more than accounted for. There is no reason for you to be concerned about being held back at your departure. in fact the only issue I see is ensuring you get your balan...

Re: Living at Reflections Keppel Bay - Help!

Hi! We wanted to finalize a unit at 23 Reflections @ Keppel Bay and wanted to know how far is Telok Blangah bus stop in terms of distance in meters. My agent mentioned that it takes just 5 mins of walk from the side gate. Can someone help if this is correct, please? Thanks much! To be realistic, th...

Re: Stateless 28years old guy (and his 2 sisters)

OP, if everything you have stated is true, your situation seems ridiculously unfair. I would second Hanmi1974's advice about contacting your MP - although ironically he's not technically your MP. I would also reach out to the mainstream media - TNP and Today and share your story. It would appear tha...

Re: How Do You Get Kids To Write That Thank-You Note?

And where can I get hold of this kit? So I can get it on time for them to write their very own thank you note for their Christmas gifts. For once ! I'm actually urgently looking for it myself. I need it to preserve my sanity when trying to walk through Vivocity, get on/off escalators, MRT trains an...

Re: Art and Cultural Job in Singapore

I don't exactly have insider knowledge, other than knowing a couple of acquaintances who have worked for the Ministry of Culture and the National Gallery. One was an Indian PR who worked on a contact basis. One was a Malaysian Chinese PR who subsequently became a Singaporean and has a very good care...

Re: Any Eagles up for a gathering in October?

Would it be worthwhile setting up an Eagles FB Private Group? Sorry, don't understand reference to "FB" or where to get such a thing as a "Private Group", but it sounds expensive? FB = Facebook. Private Group is simply a Facebook Group that's set to "private" meaning o...

Re: Any Eagles up for a gathering in October?

I don't have the phone numbers of anybody on this board but because SMS and I are connected on on Facebook I was able to contact him using the messenger app. Would it be worthwhile setting up an Eagles FB Private Group?

Re: Any Eagles up for a gathering in October?

I am one of the 'flakees' too. Apologies to all but something came up and I had to drop out last minute. Mind you you, of all the people here, SMS should be entitled to at least one drop out... I'm pretty sure he's the only Eagle who has attended ALL the gatherings with this notable exception!
