Perfect for me really and only annoyance is the taxi uncles who drive around the car park aimlessly trying to find me! Reflections is next door which looks very nice...

Why did no one tell me how bloody hot it is here?

I move to Singapore in less than two weeks and this thread has me worried. I've got a place in the Caribbean with two gardens and a pond in it. How on earth are you supposed to control mosquito breeding? I can think with a pond in the garden this sounds like a mosquito paradise... :D Potentia...

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the advice I have received on this forum. You have no idea how helpful it is that people you do not know take the time to answer some dumb questions. I move to Singapore in less than two weeks and just going through "getting really excited" and then "what ...

Been a while since I last posted as I've kind of tried to forget about the move as its taken so long but I have a start date of May 20th now. I've just received a copy of my LOI for a ground floor condo at the Caribbean which is great for me as I get a little garden for the dog. Just a quick questio...

Got a message from my agent today. The ground floor apartment has gone but she sent me photos of another one which is overlooking a building site at the moment. She mentioned Corals @ Keppel Bay is being built and will produce a lot of dust and noise and this apartment is overlooking it directly. Ho...

Thanks. I looked around the West Coast but I wanted to be a little more in the center as I know absolutely no one in Singapore. Haven't heard anything from my agent all week even though I asked to look at other apartments. I think I read not to go chopping and changing your agent as they will just s...

The Stranglers - Golden Brown That is a very striking choice, from that band. I wonder why you chose it lol. In many ways it is so out of character from their other work. Funnily enough I got to see them in Hitchin where I'm from. We used to have this music event each year called Rhythms of the Wor...

Wow, nice one. That sound is so 'time and place'. Perhaps because the overall scene* appeared, lived, and died over quite a short period of time. * The original heart of the 'Manchester Scene'. The likes of Oasis, who later emerged from it took it in a more commercial direction, don't have that zon...
