how hard is it to get a bike license here? I can ride, but only have the basic 50cc entitlement that came with my uk license. Have ridden bikes across Tanzania, UK and recently malaysia - which has prompted me to get a bike of my own.

is there a place that rents out twist and squirt scooters?

if you need an EP, or possibly an entrepass, they might not give it to you if its a straight handover. You could protect yourself from a sudden discovery of debt, as well as increase your chances of a pass by investing into the business in a series of investments. However, if the business was doing ...

it can be really frustrating, like the petrol station that decides to change cashier in the middle of the rush hour, so there's a massive queue and i'm running late. I walked up to the counter, dropped the money on the desk, and said 'this is probably for you' she asked me to wait in line, but i pol...

if you just want a corporate information site, go to ipage.com and you can write your own website I wrote my own site myself. step one, collect all the headings that you want to write about - for me, it was conditions that i treat, but for a company offering hello kitty face masks, you'd have a head...

Re: Advice On Calling Overseas?

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone can help with this? I have just arrived in Singapore and have bought a local PAYG sim card (Singtel) from a 7-11 here to use for local contacts. Are there any special numbers I could call that would get a cheap per minute rate to call a friend in Thailand (who uses...

With a MA they should have been applying for a P2 at least. Where did she study for the masters? if it wasnt one of the big four (oxford/cambridge/harvard/yale), the employer is being penalised for not attracting stellar quality staff, and so the passes get rejected if they are offering wages at com...

ICA uses an SQL database. it matches your passport number with your bank details, FIN and mobile number and looks to see where you pay in and withdraw any money. You can muddy the water a little by only paying in via atm machines and suffering an acute attack of dyscalculia when entering in your mob...

The best way to tell is for her to apply for jobs through SDC. If they recognise the Qual. from Kings, then it should be fine.

However, dentists and doctors get extremely low pay in Singapore, unless they work privately

Hi l1ncs, If you're eating at hawker centres, then it will be almost impossible to lose the extra poundage. Char kway teo (hor fun) is especially bad, as it contains a lot of lard. One of the most important factors in weight gain is the timing of meals. Skipping breakfast, a light lunch and then a h...

My experiences in setting up a local company

I wish I'd found this thread back in April, when I started the process of setting up my own company. Four months later, the company is up and running, but it has been an exhausting journey. 1. The Entrepass. When I began setting up the company, a friend of mine had just had his Entrepass renewal rej...

if you do need to have a medical, they aren't expensive - around $40.

Bring the original certificates. colour copies aren't accepted.

Re: going on visiting pass (90 days) and looking for a job ?

Hello, I am a recent university graduate from the US, trying to determine if it is legal (and not entirely morally reprehensible) to, say, go for a 90 day "visit" with an onward ticket to Kuala Lumpur to explore job opportunities and then apply for EP if I get any offers. The reason for d...
