Re: EP Application with a DUI - Approved
Also I did try applying for PR earlier in this year and the rejection came in less than a month with the PR kiss of death letter "you may wish to stay on your valid work passes". So I guess a Singapore DUI could very well put an end to one's PR aspirations especially if he/she is from the unfavourab...

EP Application with a DUI - Approved
Hello All, I just got my "EP application with a DUI" approved. I was on a PEP and had to convert back to EP as I no longer meet the new requirements. The approval came in about a week's time. My DUI was about 1 and 1/2 years back. So I guess there is some hope for EP applicants with a DUI and it sho...

Did you inform ICA about your change in employment and the move from EP->PEP when you application was being processed? Did you get our PEP before Dec 2012 or after that? if you are on a PEP under the new rules you might try appealing but personally I don't think it will make a difference. Weren't yo...

Cheers Fella, The guy having a pop.at me was equally clueless as to the facts also but chose to make up in his head what the "truth" was. Despite me explaining that he wasnt even there when the queue formed. Just remember - "We all have the right to queue up!"   (whatever that ...

That's one thing I find surprising here - despite the supposed 'world class' education system, many people (young and old) seem to have real trouble expressing themselves in clear, correct English. What is the correlation between a "world class education" system and "correct English"? Japan, German...

been biting my tongue to show appreciation for their government's help in the typhoon...but its so harrrrrrrrrd argh lol. What can the govt do to infuse a dose of sanity into its individual citizens? At the best they could make the laws stringent against such racial abuse ( against expats ) but I b...

Couple of weeks back while traveling in the MRT I was engrossed in a conversation with my friend and did not notice a young lady ( local ) who was about to alight at the next stop. She had to take a detour as I was blocking her way. Realizing my mistake I apologized to her only to get this response ...

Nak - I read several tech blogs comparing these 2 device and I am inclining towards HTC one. X9200 - I was referring to the post warranty period. More than the battery life there are references to battery malfunctioning as well. Not that S4 does not have any. The overall user experience points with ...

Samsung S4 v HTC one - battery issues
I am looking at buying an android smartphone. I am inclining towards buying HTC but seeing quite a few people complaining about its battery performance and issues with battery in general. S4's battery is replaceable whereas HTC's is not. Any recommendations or experiences with these 2 models ?

Is the gahmen bond in lieu of tution fee waiver/aid even relevant in the contemporary times? I believe this scheme was initiated with a goal to attract and retain students who pursue higher education in SG. But with MOM not keen on granting work visas to foreigners unless they find it compelling thi...

Just goes to strengthen my position. We have bus services in the US, but they don't run at a frequency to really call them a mass transit systems with 5 to 20 minute intervals between buses. Might run hourly or 2x/day. It would not create a big dent in the state's budget to run these bus services e...
