Re: Fitness First or Amore Fitness?

In my opinion, Fitness First is a much more complete gym, with a lot more options for working out.

Re: Boxing anyone?

Yes, there are a lot of great places to learn boxing in Singapore. They are all a bit different so you should visit them all and do a trial. You can look for a straight boxing gym or look into one of the many MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) gyms that has opened up in Singapore, all of them will offer some ...

PNGMK has the right idea. Having my own kid, I'd suggest The Line at the Shangri-La. Quite nice food, and it is buffet style. Buffets are really convenient with young children. If they're being fussy, you can just pile up their favorite things onto the plate to quiet them up. I second this. The Lin...

Reebok Crossfit Enduro is a nice place.

Also, Ritual is a cool option, not necessarily a crossfit box, but a similar concept.

I would like to (re)learn Chi Gung and Tai Chi, but all I see is pensioners doing it, and speaking Chinese. Why not try a slightly more physical martial art like Muay Thai, boxing, or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu? It is a fun way to get in great shape, and there are tons of MMA gyms opening all over Singapo...

The swimming pool at Toa Payoh Sports Complex has lane ropes. Excellent facility, although it can get quite crowded at peak hours.

Stand up paddling (SUP) is a great workout and a lot of fun. Can be a bit pricey unless you invest in your own equipment, but you can give it a try either at East Coast Park or Sentosa beach, they rent them out by the hour.

Sounds awesome! I unfortunately can't join, but please do keep us posted on how it goes. Where did you surf, crowds, good waves, accommodation, etc.?

I normally go to Bali, but it has become so overcrowded there. Interested to hear what the scene in Lombok is like.

Good luck!

OMG that is a lot of crabs! that must've been some party :D Deep fried turkey is something I've still never tried - I'm afraid you're right that once you have it it's hard to enjoy an over-roasted turkey, especially since that method can be so tricky to pull off as well! Happy Thanksgiving! btw, doe...
