Re: Got my PR but Employer demand re-signing of new contract

Theu have every right to adjust your salary to compensate for your new CPF contributions. You have no reason to earn more in total that you originally contracted for without some other argument than just becoming a PR.

Re: Hi guys, i have a question about Tax Loses in Australia

Are you filing income tax statements in Australia now? Are you operating as a none resident for tax in Australia?

AFAIK you cannot carry tax losses forward on rentals but I may be wrong. Better to consult an Aussie CPA.

Yes. REP is the tool except in extreme cases where the PM for example cancels a person's PR, (for criminal or union activity have been the cases I've heard of).

Re: Unsigned contract also can bind tenants?

You're effectively only a guest who pays a fee if there is no contract. You can't be sued. There needs to be a stamped TA for any real consequences. Just move out.

Re: Impact of losing PR on future employement

If you withdraw CPF you need to put it back in order to reapply for PR. Employment wise you're now in a different category with quotas and salary levels which make it less attractive to potential employers. You can obtain an EP after giving up PR if the employer can get approval. You don't need to r...

Re: Landlord refused to provide the service as discussed

Just one thing to note. Wifi is not that touchy. The obviously illegal sites they have a very well protected firewall from the Government, that even blocked some famous porn sites even it is legal to browse here in Singapore. This country has all the bubble wraps before you think of it so no wifi i...

Re: Reducing Taxable Income from Salary

The most significant tax deductibles for you will be SRS and possibly insurance policies.

You can't claim much else as a none SC/SPR.

Google SRS etc if you don't know what it is.

Re: Take home (net) salary for an expat on EP

Hello all, I am trying to understand how the SG income tax system works, and wanted to get an idea of "take home" (i.e. net) monthly salary for an Expat on an EP assuming that the Employment Income is SGD 120,000 per annum. Thanks. Your take home is 100%. But every year you need to pay a ...

Re: How difficult is it to get an extension on PR/REP nowadays?

Correct - only the REP expires. You can stay inside Singapore as long as you need to find a job. IMO you'll get an REP renewal but it may be a short one (1 year). Thanks for the reply, that is a relief. I'm worried because the last time I applied for an REP was Jan, 2018 and it was only renewed by ...

Re: How difficult is it to get an extension on PR/REP nowadays?

Hi everyone, I was wondering how difficult it was to get an extension on my permanent residence, considering my circumstances. My Re-entry Permit (REP) will expire in Jan 12, 2019 , and by that time, I will be 24 of age, no longer a student, and may yet to be employed. :???: I've been in Singapore ...
