Re: Dual nationality, which one takes precedence?

Where do you intend to permanently live? It's not easy to have your cake and eat it with SC for boys. You either need to register him for SC with ICA (within a fairly short period) and accept that at age 11 you need to decide which way you're going or accept he cannot hold SC.

Re: Taxation when working overseas

So we are back to the nub of the matter; can the OP have his employer pay him outside Singapore from a none Singapore entity? If so, no Singapore tax liability in addition to a potential overseas liability on top of his Singapore liability!

Re: Self deposit in Singapore CPF account.

VJK - what are you trying to achieve? You can do cash top ups or if you are self employed you can pay your CPF EE/ER contributions as well.

The partner who earns less should also follow the partner who earns more.

Re: Taxation when working overseas

I don't quite agree SE as the OP is a SC. I don't see what you're alluding to in the IRAS pages. I'm concerned that because OP is SC all of his Singapore sourced income is liable. IRAS are pretty clear about foreigners vs citizens / SPR on the links I provided. I agree is makes sense that if OP is t...

Re: Taxation when working overseas

You should discuss with a professional but if you're out for the majority of the year you are most likely non resident for tax purposes which means you DO pay tax on your Singapore derived income. https://www.iras.gov.sg/irashome/Individuals/Foreigners/Learning-the-basics/Individuals--Foreigners--Re...

Re: Success stories of your partner employment DH > LOC/EP / Advice needed

I think you should consider splitting up and staying where the work is for each partner. I don't see a lot of light on the horizon for those sorts of jobs.

Re: Can anything be done about my NS/deserter issues?

IT's difficult to have any sympathy to those who complain when the procedure to leave Singapore and her NS obligations is laid out and not particularly difficult if followed in a timely manner by emigres. We have issue with those emigre parents who want to have their cake and eat it to and in their ...

To sum it up you're now asking us how to advise you on how to defraud the Republic and her officers. No thanks. Good luck.

Re: Trying to conceive via IVF beyond 45 years of age

There are at least two or three countries I can think of within 4 hours of Singapore who will be happy to help take your money and do IVF. I don't consider Singapore to be the leading IVF provider in any way shape or form. Other countries live birth rates from IVF are exceeding Singapore significant...

Re: NS obligations for son

If you want to keep PR you need to keep the son out of the Singapore system completely or bring him into it. He needs to be born and educated overseas with no records of the relationship in Singapore or born here and then apply for PR.

Re: dual citizenship SG woman

There is no risk of criminal charges from what I can tell. One poster here accidentally travelled back to Singapore on her US passport and has been told by ICA she needs to cancel her Singapore citizenship/passport within a certain timeframe. Provided you are careful and don't need your CPF you shou...
