Re: Rib cartilage rhinoplasty in Singapore

I've had it done. It's better than the old system of using hip bone which I had before I broke that. Note that I broke mine (rib cartilage - second time!) and never bothered to get it fixed. It healed crooked.

Re: Got in an accident - advice?

Just found out yhey are claiming 10k for "pain and suffering" plus a few hundred for other bs. There's a total scam going on here. But yes, I will not stress and let my insurer do their job. Thanks. Pretty common IME. This is why you don't admit anything, call the cops and don't move the vehicles.

Re: bankruptcy travel

Thank you for the useful information. My friend has gone bankrupt, but he has to go home to his mother because she is ill. And we didn't know if he would be arrested at the airport or not. IF he went bankrupt in Singapore and tries to leave Singapore without the permission of the OA he DOES face th...

PNGMK, that's the old time frame. I't been 3 years for a couple of years now but like the original, it is still non-renewable and only for one time use.
Makes it worse!

Re: Upgrade to PEP

Look - I know a few people who got a PEP. It didn't make a rat's ass of difference to the viability of their stay in Singapore because: 1. No one can afford to stay here without a job and look for one for more than a few months 2. PEP times out after what 5 years so it's pointless Better to focus on...

Also Corvid-19 may cause a change in plans. Make sure any insurance you buy does not exclude it and watch out for "quarantine" and 'travel disruption' get out clauses. The insurers are adding those in now.

Except nowadays you have Manual-mode on automatic transmissions.
There's no clutch though. Using a clutch to double clutch down gear on a non syncho gearbox can be the high light of a good drive - esp if done by an attractive woman.

Re: PR rejected for 8th Time - Indian

I'd assume you must be in a profession that the govt wants to reserve for locals if you're running into this much resistance (HR and accountants are an example) or possibly you're in a job that the govt considers to be too transient (bankers have this problem).
