Re: Singapore PR chances based on scheme

I kind of feel this a wierd way to evaluate people. Just because someone is high pay and mobile, they will move. Maybe people will stay if they get a PR and want to settledown and prefer to actually settledown in a place rather than be a gypsy. So I don't quite buy that logic. Probably because you ...

Re: Singapore PR chances based on scheme

I am surprised OP was rejected in 2010, with that kind of salary. 2010 it was getting tough, but people were getting PRs nonetheless. I know people with much lower like 5-6k salary range were approved for PR in those days.

Re: Best bank to get interest on savings account ?

Use interactive brokers, fund it with SGD convert it to USD at near spot rates and buy US treasuries. This is a better way to do it than hold USD in an Indian bank in Singapore. Spend some time on Money Mind forum in HWZ, it is the place if you want to learn how to manage your money. Sent from my Re...

Re: ePR

It's pretty simple really. You go to HR and ask them for a letter outlining your pay for the last six months, broken down by month an by the type of income requested, e.g., listing your basic salary for each month requested and separately any allowances and/or Overtime received for each pay request...

Re: PR Chances Indian Couple with a son

OP, I would suggest explore starting your own company here and employ some people. I have seen people getting PR that way. The other option, since you guys are high flyers, consider the PR by investment scheme, it costs about 2M. And dont worry about getting PR in a 1st world country, at 40, it is d...

Re: PR surrender and CPF withdrawal

People who are giving up SG PR, do you guys realize how difficult it is to get one? I find it ironic, you guys have been given PR and you dont even value it, while so many people here would do anything to get one. BTW, PR by investment scheme costs 2M in Singapore, in comparison US EB1 is only 500K ...

Re: PR chances

Hello everyone, I applied for PR in December 2017 and is still pending. I applied so that I could do NS and stay in Singapore permanently afterwards for university. When I first applied I thought it would be easy decision for them but after so long I am not so sure anymore. I am just wondering what...

Re: Canada PR

Yes, Canada and Australia is still more feasible compared to Singapore. My thoughts below 1) Uncertainty in SG for Indian IT professionals : Though i am earning 120k/annum, not confident enough to wait for SG PR and doesn't want Australia/Canada to close their doors against foreigners. Eg: a. Recen...

Re: Employment Pass Approval

There is nothing to advice, it depends on the company's credentials. If they have enough local staff and they haven't abused the EP privilege, you will get it. I don't think you have anything to do with it.

Re: Canada PR

hahahahah 100k? Seriously you'll be lucky if you land a job at all.. I know experienced engineers who could only find drafting jobs there for their first decade. The median salary is ~CDN70,000. Remember you'll be discriminated against, taken advantage of and have no paper quals worth wiping your a...

Re: Canada PR

The only reason to migrate to Canada is for your children or if you are just starting your work life. All the adults I know who migrated there as professionals have taken a massive step back career wise. The three people I know who have done OK moved there in their 20's. Thanks, my career here isn'...
