Re: Swimming lessons during wuhan virus outbreak

Not for now. We have stopped our child's lessons temporarily out of an abundance of caution.

Re: Should I resign from current employer before EP approval?

I do not recommend resigning before the IPA (in-principle approval) is issued. Sometimes there are issues that prevent the approval of the employment pass.

Re: question regarding Form IR8A if working remote

See the IRAS link https://www.iras.gov.sg/IRASHome/Individuals/Locals/Working-Out-Your-Taxes/What-is-Taxable-What-is-Not/Overseas-Income-Received-in-Singapore/ This is NOT overseas income received in Singapore. Wrong citation . Overseas income has a special meaning. For example, you were tax reside...

I also started receiving viber calls from +92 XXXX numbers. I listened in once and a automated voice informed me of an "exception" in my dbs account.

Re: REP renewal for retired PR

There was a time when SGC was easier to get even after just 1 year of being PR.
I did not apply for SGC as I was single and had no plans for the future. I also did not predict the tightening criteria for both PR and SGC approvals that came in 2010. In hindsight, I should have applied for SGC then.

Re: PR Application 2020

Being Pinoys, the chances are quite low nowadays. But keep applying. No one wins the lottery by not buying any ticket. Your profile is not bad but is also not remarkable.

Re: Evaluate PR Chances(?) - 360k Gross

I think you have a good profile to apply.
The chances are numerically low only because of limited slots and many Indian applicants.

As a LTVP sponsor, you are expected to be able to provide for your LTVP dependent. You will need to prove this.

Re: Average salaries in Singapore

Hi everyone I’ve tried to do lots of research, but you lot will know best. Is a salary of €6k per month plus an extra €2.5k a month for housing allowance reasonable? I want to move to Singapore but I also don’t want to be worrying all the time about money like I do in the UK. Thanks! If you are a s...

Re: I have some concern on EP since I dropped out of university.

I believe MOM may approve EP applications from non-graduates if that applicant's experience or certifications compensates for the lack of degree. There are EPs in Singapore without degrees.

A pass holder must be earning at least SGD 12K a month to be able to apply for a LTVP for their parents.
