I just subscribed to it. What do you want to know? - It costs almost 12 sgd per month or 120 sgd per year (cheaper to get the annual plan). Acc to friends, it is 12 months free with a new starhub contract (tv or broadband , not sure). - Comes with 4 users. You can set the user to adult or kid. Kids ...

they can get those if they want to. But easy access?, not really. The local telcos may be quick to provide the info but google, fb, and other western based tech company may resist a bit. And the messaging systems are encrypted although there are special tools to break them available to governments.

The chances of PR approval is higher for you since you are the spouse of an SC with SC children. If you are rejected now, just apply again. As other people said, try LTVP first because this is a faster way to get settled in Singapore.

We have a term for this, "necro-ing" (raising the post from the dead). Anyway, no problem with me as long as the post is still relevant.

Re: Standard expat packages
I will just speak based on my experience at the lower and middle level. There is no standard expat package. Most of those at my level will get local terms. The employer will pay our salary but we take care of our expenses (housing, transport, utilities, education, food, child care). Health insurance...

Re: ENBLOC
They call this SERS (Selective End-Block Redevelopment Scheme). When I read about the few blocks where they implemented this, I thought it was a good deal. They were given the option to move to a brand new HDB with a new 99 year lease and other options. Many people still complained due to sentimenta...

Re: Sons status in Singapore
If your children are not PRs, you can enroll them in any international school with Edutrust certification (most of the big schools have this). The Edutrust certification allows the schools to apply for student passes for your children.

Re: If you are here for money, when will you stop?
I had a few friends who went to Canada. Some went there due to job transfer or went there with jobs already confirmed. This is ideal because you would not start from the beginning while gaining "Canadian experience". From that status, it is easy to become a PR and a citizen. Some went there as immi...

Re: If you are here for money, when will you stop?
For me, I am not sure when i am going to retire and where i am going to retire to (either SG or PH). My wife and I are PRs but out daughter is not. That fact is keeping us from being fully committed to stay here. Our SC application and our daughter's PR applications have not been successful. But we ...

Re: SC chances and Scheme
In your case, my opinion is that an SC application sponsored your spouse has a higher chance of approval than an application through the PTS scheme.

Re: PR APPLICATION DENIED
Since 2010 it has been difficult to get PR approved unless you are Malaysian, even for dependent PR applications.
