What happens if i join a new company before payment is triggered

I have setup my own recruitment business and am currently employed with a DP/LOC (my EP was rejected twice so a local friend agreed to be on the board). When i successfully place a candidate i do not send the invoice until the day the candidate starts, that can be one or two months later depending o...

Prevailing sentiment with MoM Re EPs

Just wondering what's the prevailing wind in terms of EPs being accepted at the moment? I set up my own company last year, complete startup (no revenue or clients) and $70,000K capital, paid myself $7k and got rejected (reasons where not enough capital to the salary and no client sales invoices) I a...

Re: Mobile app/platform (similar to uber)

So the reality is that you need to find someone you trust who is a PR or a singaporean citizen to be a nominee director...?

I.e. by friends girlfriend is singaporean so she could potentially be the nominee director.

Mobile app/platform (similar to uber)

Hi all, a friend (developer) and i have got what we believe to be a strong business plan for an app/platform focussed purely on singapore. We are both foreigners, he is on a visitors pass but is likely to be getting an SP or EP soon (currently he is consulting for foreign companies and earning money...

Re: Brand new condo, all the appliances have now broken

I can do that with the coffee machine which slides out. i plugged my phone charger in and it worked so the issue is either with the appliance or the plug. at least i have narrowed it down but the outcome is starting to look depressing as all signs point to the appliances. they did not both stop work...

Re: Brand new condo, all the appliances have now broken

it is likely that it will take 4 - 6 months to get these fixed (as was the case with the dishwasher), the coffee machine i can live without but the microwave is a serious inconvenience as i work from home so use it everyday. Should we expect the landlord to provide us with a working microwave until ...

Re: Brand new condo, all the appliances have now broken

No signs of life. The appliances all have wall switches which have LEDs to show whether they are on or not. Both the LEDs for the coffee machine and microwave are on. they are on the same grid as the fridge which is working so the issue seems to be just with the two appliances

Re: Brand new condo, all the appliances have now broken

i've been through the manuals (which are about as helpful as you would expect) and looked online, no solutions. The machines simply don't turn on, if they were showing an error code then it would be easier. The fuse box is working. It is perhaps less unusual for three appliances to break around the ...

Brand new condo, all the appliances have now broken

hi there, just wondering if anyone else has had any similar experiences. We moved into a brand new condo and first of all the dishwasher broke and now the coffee machine and microwave. All just after the one year warranty which is great timing! They are all the same brand and supplied through a loca...

Not allowed to be director for my Pte. Ltd. Company

hi all, i can't see that this has been covered so thought it would merit a post. I have set up my own Pte. Ltd. recruitment company. I was not successful in getting an EP as the company had no revenues and i applied this time last year which was not the best timing. I got married in the meantime and...

Landlord issues

i was wondering whether anyone else has had issues with their landlord, more specifically with them not fixing broken equipment. in this case we have a dishwasher that broke 4 months ago. I have been told that they are getting parts but have heard nothing in last month despite my calls/messages. is ...

Re: How Much Should I Pay Myself?

A quick update, just back from 5 weeks in the UK so it's been a while. I am getting ready to appeal for EP rejection. We have double the amount of capital and we have some client's signatures, all i can really get at this stage. I have written a two page summary which covers financials, industry foc...
