Most people have agreements with their employers indicating that they can not work another job in the same industry.
Your employers know about your other jobs? Just wanted to make sure you are not getting into a legal mess.

Most Indians haven't reached that stage to give importance to softer qualities of life before money. Do you think they ever will? Never :) I mean regarding safety most Indians have this attitude that it wont happen to me. Vishal brought up motorcycist getting killed right? Most Indian motorcyclist ...

If both him and her are earning $1700 each in India, they will live life king size there compared to $5300 single earning salary here. Strangely, hundreds of thousands of people rather live a pint-size life in Singapore than king-size in India. Judging by just these forums, Indians primarily amongs...

I'd say not a chance of you getting PR on your current pay scale, and with only 15 months here. If you manage to more than double your salary in the next 2 years, try then. Plan B would be to plan for leaving Singapore if your S-Pass is not renewed. Even if the OP doubled or say tripled his salary ...

Most Singapore employers issue letters if they initiate the release from service, e.g., released due to inability to renew work permit, termination letter, redundency letter, etc, etc. But if the employee resigned, then usually the only letter is the one the employee must give to the employers (res...

The strings are quite clearly attached, re NS. Those who take up PR without taking up PR for their sons are the biggest abusers. Thankfully, the Gahmen as wised up now and if you don't apply for your male children, either you will be rejected for PR or you may find, if you do have PR, your REP may ...

Your statements are completely irrelevant to the topic we are discussing. I dont care if Indons find it easier than Indians to get an Aussie PR. Our point is Singapore is not the stepping stone. Period. You seem to have become a sinkie yourself. Just because you cannot prove your point, you bring e...

I don't know about other countries, but getting to USA is next only to impossible for most people now. H1B visas open on 1st of April and are done by 5th of April and are valid starting 1st October. The only way to get to USA now is to work for a services company (read bodyshop) in India and have ur...

As things stand currently, there is a much higher probability that a subcon guy will get an Australia PR, without even stepping into the country than getting Singapore PR, even after working here for a few years. So what stepping stone are you talking about? No I disagree. I routinely send people i...

How is a red passport a stepping stone to somewhere else? Am I missing something? I know it's NOT a stepping stone to the USA. Please help me understand what countries is it a stepping stone to? Singapore has an grossly underutilized work visa class in the US under the FTA (google for the exact num...

What's the rush? You need to get PR to get red passports to jump rock to somewhere else? IF you're REALLY going to PR and have stables jobs waiting a year should be a no brainer. How is a red passport a stepping stone to somewhere else? Am I missing something? I know it's NOT a stepping stone to th...
