still looking?

If you're still looking, we have experience with a mainlander who is wonderful with children under 10, apart from quals because she gets down to their level which not everyone can do. She's getting quite a following but if you want to try her sched let me know and I'll PM details.

group vs one-on-one

Not sure about the place at Dempsey Hill, but in our experience, if you can get one-on-one with a good tutor for the same or less, often in the convenience of your own home, why wouldn't you? In a group you would have less control and the children in the group all need to be at the same level. Findi...

Why convert because you feel pressured or for "convenience"? That would be weakness, a lie to yourself and everyone around you, and would commit your children to the same with no way for them to choose their own religion. I suggest you both convert...to atheism - after all, I'm sure you've...

Dear all, please see my new discussion topic called "Leaving wife and children for another woman". I sympathise with anyone, on either side, going through divorce. Been through it twice myself, at my instigation. I've made a huge effort to learn from past experiences and have turned a new ...

leaving wife and children for another woman

I thought that heading would get your attention! I'm about to start writing a book aimed at encouraging men who are contemplating leaving their family for another woman, to "think again" (BTW, I am male). If you, or anyone you know, has at some point in their life - even many years ago - d...

if everyone writes with a little bit of decorum, everything should be fine, should it not? If people only find things interesting when they resort to slagging off others, that's a pretty sad indictment on our sense of humour.

Sailing - anywhere to rent small monohull from time to time

I'm a keen sailor, with many years experience on and off with cruising yachts. Having withdrawal symptoms here without a boat. Not interested in racing or little things like Lasers or Hobie Cats, but anywhere to be able to rent a small monohull for day sailing now and again. Any tips???

That's a pretty general question - "Asian art" encompasses such a wide range of types of art and artists. What specifically are you interested in? I'm a painter (no I'm not trying to sell my own paintings!) but I get around to galleries and such and have been involved with one of the local...

Large size shoes - where to buy?

I take size 12 (that's 46) but all the shops I've been to only have up to size 11/(45), or very very limited styles in 12(46). Anyone know where I can buy larger size men's shoes, particularly office shoes?

That's right, Thompson Rd - so many you'd need to be blind to miss 'em! Just outbound from the Old Police Academy (which is also huge)
