Odds are yes, but it can still go wrong. That's exactly why it says "pending". Pending what, we don't know, but there is something still "finished" yet. As far as the old saw about having a FIN number issued means approval, I don't think so. As soon as a person is put into the s...

LTVP Pending but FIN Asssigned

Dear All, My wife (EP holder) has applied for LTVP (MOM) for the first time. I checked EP Online and the following is my question: 1. The status says 'Pending' , however 'FIN' has been assigned. So does it mean that the LTVP is going to be approved? Thanks for your time :) Best Regards, Sanky

Sanky - i personally know of persons in my team who applied for their in laws on their personal capacity and got the LTVP approved. MOM may ask you to provide a banker's guarantee. So, yes it is possible to get an LTVP from an individual as a sponsor (who is not an organization). But this doesn't g...

And these are the ones I pray are rejected and thrown out of the country as they are the abusers who have made life more difficult for those of us who are here for the long term. All our subsidies have been cut and being further cut annually because of their abuse. I hope the doors at Changi hit th...

Re: Last PR application, wish me luck!

Tomorrow I have appointment at ICA to submit my PR application. It will be my 3rd and last attempt in my 4+ years here. If rejected, I would assume that SG doesn't want me here in the long term and I will try to settle somewhere else. I know that it's not the best moment, and that for Westerners is...

I believe it should be filed at the same time. That is why it's noted on the PEP application form. To ensure it gets done at the same time to avoid any unpleasantness later when having to apply separately later on. Thanks SMS. Sounds great :-({|= I am still awaiting your answer for my first questio...

One thing about it. If she were to apply for a PEP right now, she may or may not get it. This is even if she qualifies for it. Dear SMS, now that she has been refused PR and there are lesser chances of getting her PEP if she applies, could you please give us a time frame after which she could try f...

One thing about it. If she were to apply for a PEP right now, she may or may not get it. This is even if she qualifies for it. If she doesn't get the PEP though, it will be a good harbinger of things not yet happened. If she doesn't get the PEP, she will still be able to continue on her EP for howe...

SMS - thank you for pointing that out - my bad! I got the CPF scheme confused with the supplementary retirement scheme http://app.mof.gov.sg/supplementary_retirement_scheme.aspx which foreigners CAN contribute to. Sanky: It is unlikely that if the EP is declined that you will get a PEP, so I would ...

Sorry to hear. Has your wife considered applying for a PEP (I think her income & time qualifies)? In some respects given your situation I think that your wife being on an employment pass is actually a bonus. It means that you get a DP and not a LTSVP which makes it easier to work part time (if ...
