Do you have much Coprporate Sales Experience? Having an extensive track record of performing the role you are applying for can be pretty important. If you can build your job experience while you do your studies your chances will improve. A degree will not hurt however education is just one of the cr...

I came to Singapore with 5 years of experience in my field and no degree or relevant qualifications and got a Q1 pass without issue. This was on a salary quite a bit less than 5600/month. I also switched jobs late last year got a pass approved. A lack of a degree won't help you. However I wouldnt se...

Thanks, we did try asking the kid... But being 5 her scope and knowledge of places is somewhat limited to her 5 years of life experience. I'm hoping that we can come up with something new and exciting for her. Did any of the hotels do anything special for kids birthdays? Any recommendations on which...

Best place to take a 6 year old girl on her birthday meal?

Hi all, I'm looking for the most fun and interactive place to bring a 6 year old for lunch / dinner in Singapore. Anyone have any ideas, or experienced a great and memorable place for a kids birthday. It will just be 4 of us going (2 kids and two adults). Swensen's is the obvious choice but hoping f...

I was on my way to the bus stop so I just assumed they'd guessed correctly where I was going  Thanks for checking! I kinda wish it was though just so I could rate it :P I thi...

LOL if that is the case then I may have some empathy with him.

I got the impression this was just racial vitriol. I think I have been fairly luck in that I havent been exposed to anything like this before.

It just amazes me that someone can have this much hate directed at a complete stranger :s

No point messing with a dope-head who could pull a knife out even if you were both standing outside of a cop shop This is the frustrating thing, if you take it in your own hands you are not guaranteed justice. Certainly people who are capable of the above have a temperament that may allow them to d...

To be honest I am rubbish at accents and guessing where people come from. He looked possibly Indian or Malay, definitely not chinese, and the way he was dressed in very dirty old jogging suit along with his awkward posture, it is possible he was on day release. His phone didnt look like a smartphone...

What just happened to me?!

I was just in nex for lunch and was eyeing a Baskin Robbins for dessert when a huge guy standing in front of me turned around looking annoyed and asked 'Where are you from?' I wasn't expecting this and just asked him 'what?' to which he pointed his finger at me and asked angrily 'Where are you from?...

LOL Well, it's not exactly a first world, competitive telecoms market over here. The first time I was charged for incoming calls was in the US... not sure if it is still practiced there but was a big shock compared to the UK where cost of the incoming call is bared by the caller. It is something the...

The prepaid plans take a fee from your credit for the BlackBerry Services and any remaining credit can be used for voice. They will charge for both making and receiving calls so make sure you have enough left after purchasing the BB plan to be able to do so :) You can check the Singtel / Starhub web...

I understand that as a PR 20% of my gross would go into a CPF, with a 15% match from the employer. If not paying into a CPF is it typical to negotiate 15% higher? When you first become a PR the CPF can be a reduced version and may only go up to the full 20% after three years if I am not wrong. As f...

I think likely what SMS says althoug family status sounds bit weird.... there is one place you can find out for sure. Ask the employer what the details are for that statement.... Surely the HR department will be able to break down what their process is.

If you learn something new do share!
