If you are interested in a non-live in maid, I can recommend mine to you. She is a Chinese Singaporean lady who just comes in for a few hours a week, does her thing and leaves. I've been using her services for 2 years now, and am very happy with her. She is a little selective of her clients though, ...

SMS, there's definitely something to what you wrote. If I generally eat breakfast, it's usually small and may consisit of coffee with either fruit, fruit yoghurt or toast or cereal and I find myself getting hungry late morning. When I skip eating, I don't feel the same hunger pangs. I agree! its th...

I used Felix Relocations to move some furniture from KL to Singapore. I found them quite good and reasonably priced. I imagine they would do the same the other way. I spoke to Theresa, +02 0123 880 213.

Hope you find this helpful!

Hi Abbey, I'm a regular at Lighthouse. There are branches in Woodlands and Tempinis. The worship there is really fantastic, but more of the family scene. Services on Sinday at 9am, 11am, 4pm(?) and 7pm (?). They also hold healing services on Saturday at 7pm. I've also attended City Harvest. Massive ...

Thanks Eric, I was afraid of the same thing. The bus shuttle is still operating, only between 7-7 daily. Love the place though! Great atmosphere, but like you said, would need a car. I was hoping someone would have been able to reveal a secret shortcut to the bus stop. But as it seems, perhaps not. ...

anyone staying at fabercrest ?

Hello! Calling those staying or know anyone staying at Fabercrest. Any comments on this place, and whether it is convenient to get to Orchard? It seems a little far in to me, but was told that short-cuts to the bus stop or MRT exists. Any expats living here? Comments on Holland Peak, Kimiko court, a...

Peanut butter, Bananas & Mayo on wholemeal toast! Great for B'fast! Mine's similar to yours - its peanut butter, banana and lettuce on wholewheat bread, crusts removed. Also crunchy sliced granny smith apples with a generous layer of cinnamon sugar between 2 slices of buttered white bread. Got me d...

Long hair, definitely. But there seems to be some sort of fine print in the marriage contract... as soon as you marry her, the hair becomes short. I guess "Delilah" gets her guy, then that's it. I noticed that too! Frankly I quite admire women with short hair. Those that are able to carry the look ...

I am planning a move also. I hope to find a fully furnished place or semi furnished place as i will not be bringing white goods with me. But is it a normal to request that the owners removed their mattress? I would much rather buy my own. Do you recommend buying in Sg or buying in Oz and shipping ov...

Thanks again fellow posters for all your responses and positive encouragement. . Looks like I will be taking the plunge and making my way to the equator in a couple of months. Eventhough I will be getting less than my current salary, its reassuring to know that I wont struggle to survive on this sal...
