Re: Huber's butchery
I usually put Huber's, Swiss Butchery and The Butcher on the same level. Good quality of meat (especially beef) with expected higher price tag. To put it simply, I go to them if I want to reward myself with quality home-cooked steaks.

Re: Why do Singaporeans hate me?!?
I've been to Korea, certain parts of USA, China, subcontinental Asia, etc. Racism, sometimes misdiagnosed from curiosity, plus cultural difference in facial expression, is everywhere. I'll say, chill and embrace the difference! Fun video to reflect this topic, although different country. Still nice ...

Re: Special Gathering of Eagles
The problem is, I think every bar will be showing the WC. I was going to suggest TAP at either Robertson Quay or more centrally, Capitol Theatre (next to City Hall MRT.) Great range of beers (around $10 an American "pint" - which isn't of course a pint) and their spam fries are sinfully good. I don...

Re: Special Gathering of Eagles
If nobody is adverse to craft beer, we could go back to the place in Rochester Park where we went when Mi Amigo was here a while back. It's quiet enough. But it is a bit of a pain to get into and out of short of hoofing it a fair distance. But I'm open to other suggestions as well, due to iffy knee...

Re: oildude's new orange cat
She'll be waiting for you on the other side of the rainbow bridge. May she rest in peace. You know only about 4 days ago she jumped off her stool and went for a bird that was near our window. I'm hoping she finally caught one. It's hard as she died alone but that's what she wanted - she clearly cho...

Re: oildude's new orange cat
I've been thinking the same actually. Any vet recommends from people? Let me ask the folks from local pet community. Will get back. We've switched her food and she is eating more. Her weight loss has stabilized. Here are some local recommendations in caqse you need it: https://www.facebook.com/Brig...

Re: oildude's new orange cat
I've been away for a week. She's gone from 4.05 kg to 3.8 kg in that time. We've just switched her food and she ate a bit and is keeping it down. She's extremely quiet and weak (normally a vocal cat) and has found a dark corner to hide in for most of the day. She's not in apparent pain that I can s...

Re: Buying an engagement ring in Malaysia
Hi all! I just found this topic on the web, so decided that will not create a new one for my question. Is it possible to buy a golden ring with engraving in Malaysia? I want to make a good gift to my bf. :???: Thanks! Any proper jewellery store in Singapore and Malaysia can pull it off if it is pro...

Re: Bringing Dog to Singapore
I have not been able to find any posts anywhere regarding this, hoping someone could provide insight. We are preparing to move to Singapore for work, and have a large Labrador mix that has been with us since he was a puppy (9 years old now). I have gotten myself familiar with the requirements at AV...

Re: PR REP Renewal
Many of my colleagues are very trigger happy to hire a maid and send their wives to work. I tell them it is a land mine, be very careful. I let my wife stay at home and do household work, we don't want to get into any kind of mess. Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk Yep. Smart man. I don't tr...

Re: PR REP Renewal
I would put 'self employed' and be prepared to back it up with some evidence like a half written book or business plan. I dont think self employed will work. If self employed, they will ask for evidence of income. He has to declare that he is unemployed and quickly find a job to renew his REP. All ...
