Re: EP Appeal Rejected, what chance of getting an LOC?

Thanks for the feedback. To be perfectly honest I'm quite glad she's lost the pass, as this was her first job here in Singapore (it took her a while to find her feet) and I'd told her to take it as any job is better than nothing. I didn't expect her to still be there three years later!

Re: EP Appeal Rejected, what chance of getting an LOC?

StrongEagle - thanks for the feedback. That was more-or-less the advice I gave her last night, but at the same time I wanted to validate my thoughts before she pulls the trigger. She's the biggest earning sales rep in the company by a long way (brings in about 3x as much business as the next best), ...

Don't know - but I've gotten rid of it.

Re: EP Appeal Rejected, what chance of getting an LOC?

Sure - her salary is just under 4k per month, prior to bonuses. She's interviewed with other companies (and to my annoyance rejected) offers of ~6-7k a month. My PEP has another 3+ years to run and I'm comfortably inside the salary bracket to maintain it. When I ran a test of the SAT system it sugge...

EP Appeal Rejected, what chance of getting an LOC?

My wife and I have been living here since 2011, and she has been working (on an EP) since Jan 2012. Last year she applied to renew, and they rejected it. On appeal (marginal raise in salary) it was approved for another year. This year it was rejected again, and on appeal, rejected finally. Her compa...

I'm not, I'd rather the place stayed less busy!

Not sure that anyone would join this gym unless they live in the area or work in Asia Square. I've seen a few Cali fitness refugees turning up from further afield though, so maybe I'm wrong.

There's lots of different stuff there, and it's a particularly good gym if you're into Olympic weightlifting or generally know what you're doing in the gym. I've seen a lot of personal trainers getting people to mess about on vipr plastic pipes and do other pretty worthless stuff whilst in there. I ...

Watching the UK Grand National in Singapore

Does anyone know if it's shown out here? If so, which channel will have it, and is it something that pubs/bars show?

If there's anywhere (other than my UK betting accounts) that I can place a bet that would be helpful too...

Raffles Place is the closest MRT, I'd call it walking distance but if you're local you might not think so ;) Head out of the MRT, take a left, then walk all the way through to One Raffles Quay. Once there head out of the building and down toward Shenton Way. You'll go past Lau Pa Sat, then when you ...

For anyone interested - I've pushed them really hard and (for the time being at least) they aren't going to budge on price. The place has only been open 2 weeks, so I guess they're hoping to fill it up at their "introductory rate" before they look to reduce further.

Gym Signup Fees (Specifically Pure Fitness Asia Square)

Hi - I had a quick look at the Pure Fitness Asia Square today, and whilst I only want to sign up for a month (have somewhere I normally train, which is unavailable for the next month) that isn't possible. They force you to commit for a year long contract. This isn't a huge issue for me as it's conve...

I've just been in there to check it out - it looks good. I am about to start another topic to look at the pricing plans they have set up too. It's quite a big club, with a range of different stuff inside that's cool. There's an MMA ring, some Olypic lifting platforms, a running track etc - a bit dif...

Not Fullerton Bay. Why not? I've been there twice and it was excellent. Went to Raffles this weekend, and whilst the food was good (although it was all buffet not a la carte) the champagne wasn't flowing as freely as you might like. Fullerton Bay kept the champagne topped up all day long... (well, ...

Hmm, that's strange. The machine ought to be able to do this without any issues, so it's only about whether they want to do it or not. If not, have you tried the local university? They often have that for clinical trials etc.
