PNGMK made some very good points. The US-Singapore FTA makes things a lot easier for your girlfriend. I think her best bet might be to try community colleges. Where are you in the US? Each state has different requirements for K-12 teacher certification and some states can be more difficult than othe...

Beef or lamb from NZ is all grass fed. Really? I had no idea! I've tried the Hay Dairies goat's milk. I like it. I use it as a ride destination and have a bottle or two when I visit. You can wander around and watch the goats being milked. Cool, I'll have to make a little field trip out there someti...

i found organic milk sold in fair price 24hrs in Serangoon Nex, it was 6.5$ a Litre, its an Australian import. I try not to drink cow's milk unless it's raw (I love you, California!) but is that one of those long shelf-life ones in a carton or fresh milk in the refrigerated section? Has anyone trie...

Re: Any Arizona Wildcats in Singapore? (Or SF Bay Area peeps

I'm a Wildcat from 1980, but not big fan of US football. The best bet to try and watch is wiziwig.tv for streaming. ESPN wants you to have cable service in the states to use its streams. If someone you know will trust you with the login (such as for comcast.net) then you'll be good to go with Smart...

Re: Any Arizona Wildcats in Singapore? (Or SF Bay Area peeps

Unfortunately not. Your best bet is to subscribe to a VPN service (you can find decent ones for about $5 usd/month) or subscribe to MyRepublic or ViewQuest for fiber Internet. They perform a service where they proxy their customer's connections to the country where you are trying to stream from. Th...

Any Arizona Wildcats in Singapore? (Or SF Bay Area peeps...)

I know it's a long shot but are there any Arizona Wildcat fans out here? Football season is starting and our season opener against UNLV is at a perfect Singapore time: Saturday late morning! I'd be happy to play hostess but my new place isn't ready yet. I have a MBP and HDMI cable to stream the game...

We had a complicated system where we paid for the number of nights we spend in the flat--electricity and water. We had an even more complicated spreadsheet that computes how much each person would share, taking into account that even if no one's home, the fridge is running (we had times where the w...

It's been 10 freakin' years since I was in Minneapolis for the Final Four. Setting my clock for 7am on Sunday. Bring on the Huskies! GO 'CATS!!!

Good luck against Fredette & his fellow Mormons tomorrow!

I'll be watching my 'Cats play Puke from home but I'm up for some games on Saturday or Sunday. A 46" LED TV sure beats my laptop :)
