Re: Has anyone been vaccinated with Sinopharm ?

There’s a reason why Thailand pushed all healthcare workers to get a 3rd mRNA booster after receiving Sinopharm/ Sinovac…the Chinese ones don’t work so well. Why would you want to take a vaccine that doesn’t work so well? Have you forgotten about long COVID symptoms? Good luck rolling the dice on su...

Re: Covid situation not looking so good?

If only the entire world could just agree to isolate everyone for a 2-3 weeks for a complete blackout period… couldn’t this all be over. I keep joking to my Kiwi friends that NZ needs to test the sheep…it would be a real hoot if indeed they were found to be a reservoir Sent from my iPhone using Tap...

Covid situation not looking so good?

How much longer can they suppress the economy at 82% vaccinated? FnB places will struggle to last much longer on 2 pax dining, families will be frustrated and much less likely any tourists will come if they can’t dine out. More likely, mental health issues will break through. Some single friends are...

Re: 35 year old Brit looking to make friends in SG

Alright geezer,

Fellow Brit here, been in SG for a while. I don’t mind a catching a drink periodically, though getting lashed nowadays is a bit behind me.

Let us know your areas to frequent, and preferred timing.

Cheers

Re: How to lose weight?

As one of my friends said, you never saw fat people in concentration camps.

Should look at what diet and exercise routine they implement at those…I’m better there’s a calorie deficit somewhere, and the food ain’t great quality…

Re: Covid numbers are still high

Monogamy is a non-biological construct, created and managed by human decisions. It can be visibly and invisibly practiced/ malpracticed. Syphilis is entirely dependent on humans, and cannot exist outside, purely black or white. Syphilis is a concern when it is a transfusion-transmitted infection. M...

Re: Covid numbers are still high

As we enter into another period of restrictions in Singapore, and other countries remain in some form of lockdown, is there now an opportunity to knock out another disease? Syphilis. Only found in humans, generally sexually transmitted, and easily treated with available antibiotics. Can we wipe out ...

Re: Covid numbers are still high

Things are going to get really interesting when things turn endemic and the masks come off - especially as it relates to flu. If it comes back (hypothetical): 1. Low uptake of flu vaccine can be lethal, we haven’t had any real population exposure for nearly 2 years. We thus have Low herd immunity, s...

PR processing duration for new borns

Took 18 months for my daughter to get PR after application a few months her birth, that came through last year.

The priority was to get her a passport first, that took some time.

Migrating to Singapore as a doctor

I believe the system is heavily weighted towards giving Singaporeans seniority roles. Anyone coming in overseas will likely have to pay their dues and start on the bottom rung with lower rates titles, unless their skill set is so unique that there is hardly any other talent in SG. MBBS graduates are...
